Eh, it's not really complimentary if you have to pay an MDE rate. The rate for the Marque in Sydney is $160! Wotif gives you rates of $98 on weeknights with a peak of $155 on weekends =[

Thanks for posting the deal, but this is not a bargain in my books

    its okay…

it's not hard spending 50 bucks at priceline and you end up saving quite a bit - that is if your planning on going on a holiday.

  • Yeah sorry I gotta agree with RandomNinja

Thanks fot the post Future Kids but this isnt has good as it looks.

"The MDE will be applied by the accommodation provider toward the cost of each guest enjoying a dinner and/or breakfast for each night stayed at the relevant provider. The MDE excludes the costs of alcohol and the cost of lunch."

So the MDE acts like a meal voucher at the hotel.

  • Kudos to FutureKid on the thoroughness of the post and picking up on the MDE :)

    • Thank you! I tried to search for "bargains" and post deals up here with key terms & conditions to benefit ozbargainers simply because I personally benefit from this site. However, this deal may not seem as a great deal as such…. :(

      • I think it's still, potentially a good deal for many, but not the way it was marketted.

        Components:
        - spend $50 + at Priceline (and get those Priceline products and Priceline points)
        - get to stay at a place with credit to use on breakfast and/or dinner, at a discount off the regular price …

I like the sound of that, much better than the having to work it out, bit by bit approach, that they used.

Hmmm … it'd need some work to make it clearer … but it'd be a start.

  • How do two people spend $180 ON DINNER each night?

How fat would BOTH of you be when you finish your HUGE $180 meals?

    • have you seen the prices of wine at hotels? (assuming wine can be included, check terms and conditions)

hmm … lobster for mains, maybe?
