  • That's a good deal! That's almost 700d money.

    What about 5% coupon?

Edit. It should work if you can find this instore.

  • Still trying to decide between this and 760D to replacing an ageing 500D.

    • For this price, I would go for 750d. Rarely need to use the top lcd.

    • If you use your DSLR is modes other than automatic I'd go the 760D for the usability improvements.

The only thing stopping me (personally) from getting a 760D is the lack of AFMA. I have a 550D and lack of AFMA is one of the things that really annoys me. I'll therefore likely get either a 70D or wait a bit longer for the 80D (or a great price on a 7DmkII).

Get the 760D for top LCD, better liveview focussing and some other improvements that I can't remember.

  • Agree with KRRacing, the top LCD is very useful, let you make adjustment very quickly.

Again not really a Canon fans but when it is that much cheaper than other stores, have to give it a plus for being a good deal.

  • 760D also has an extra controller, fulltime focus in video, and other differences. Check out some web reviews or you tube.
No 760D on JB's site at all.

I wonder if Canon have made a mistake and are not seeing many sales of the 750D over the 760D, so are dumping some at a discount to the retaillers>?

    • There has been some comments that the 760D will only be available in specialty camera shops and may not be as heavily discounted. For example Diamonds Camera currently have Canon EOS 760D + 50mm f1.8 III STM for $1195.

Just a heads up, if you are looking to shoot video with the 750/760 models, be aware they have dropped the max encoded bitrate to 28mbs vs 40ish on the other rebel series cameras.

    • Is this resulting in a drop in quality or is the lower bit rate possible because of better encoding algorithms / faster processors?

Wow.. it keeps getting worse with Canon! They might be doing this to stop people from buying cheaper cameras for video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7mrckV4MrI )
I have a 70D and have the underexposure issue with bounce flash ( http://lmgtfy.com/?q=70D+bounce+flash ) so was thinking of actually downgrading to 760D after all the rave reviews, but not anymore!

  • Nice price!

  • this is tempting, you can easily sell the kit lens for 100 on gumtree, which would make the body around 660 bucks. Not bad for a high end entry DSLR. They also have a good deal on the 6D.
