    Auto-calendar (to year 2099)

    So useless after 2100?

1 cent cheaper here but: different coloured face, coming from HK, box not provided, only 1 left

    • "1 Sold/Last One", seems legit

  • No PayPal?

    • +4

No but i have purchased many times from them and never had a problem.

  • -5

Lame, I'll take DW5600 over this anyday

    • +2

I would take a Rolex over it too, but there are people which have budgets and. Or is the DW5600 same price?

      • -3

Not the same price, maybe $30 more. But what is the point of buying a crap watch you're never going to wear? Even if $10. I would rather put that $10 in shares and earn dividend.

G-shock 5600 is proven, popular and iconic. This watch is just fugly.

PS, it's not even solar. I would get G6900 ever this crap any day for $30 more.

        • +2

You simply don't get it. Go and make a fortune with $10.- in shares.

wow I think I have seen the zenith of ozbb nonsense here

watches are to a person's taste, what you like, you like, it may not be what i like

this guy wants to compare this above $40 casio watch to a $60 casio watch

why is a $60 casio great and a $40 casio 'crap'?

I respect cheap casio's especially the choice of al qaeda, the f91w, but i could never wear this again:

          http://www.android-enjoyed.com/casio-g-shock-standard-digita…

what am I 14 years old?

I dont mind the look of this $40 analog digital. It could pass as a work, dress, casual whatever watch, the DW5600? not so much

plus it has a 10 yr battery over the 2 yr battery of the DW5600. This is kind of a big deal as you have to open the bastard up every 2yrs and put a new cell in it. This $40 model? You could probably chuck it after 10 yrs and still be ahead by not needing to change 4 batteries in that time.

It also has telememo and world time. Telememo is a waste of time if you have a phone but world time i find useful.

Btw. the DW5600 isnt solar either.

Also if I have $10 I think I'd just buy lunch with it or top up my Opal card rather than live off the dividends of $10 (!!!).

        • @tonyjzx:

Obviously someone who knows nothing about Casio watches.

I am a long term member of WUS (watchesyouseek forum), trust me. DW5600 is a much better watch.

When I said solar, I was referring to G6900.

And obviously someone who's not a finance major. The $10 is the money that you spent on the watch can not force the same expenditure as the money you spend on compulsory expenditure. I was considering it's opportunity cost. Your lunch is an fixed expenditure, therefore it is not an opportunity cost of the watch, because you have to eat regardless whether you buy a watch or not. So if you don't buy your watch, you spend $10 on food because you have eat, if you do buy the watch, you spend $20 because you have to eat and you bought the watch. The same concept applies to your travel expense. Food and travel expense is not avoidable. So it is illogical to use them as a opportunity cost.

The opportunity cost is the next best option, so in finance it is usually risk free interest rate, or the BBSW. But I give you the benefit of the doubt of being able to make average market return of 9% in the stock market.

Since this watch is $47, the opptunity cost of this watch is $4.23 over one year. Or $64 over a decade, $3448 over five decades.

Plus the depreciation of the watch, you're looking at losing more than $4000 dollars of opportunity cost over your whole life time for owning a $47 watch.

Sorry, but I rather have my $4000 than the pleasure (or torment) of wearing a $47 watch.

        • @financialwar: if you were a finance major like you'd have us believe, just get a better paying job?

        • @Tal_Shiar:

I do. I'm with the top two standard deviation of income. So yeah.

  • It's a great looking watch, and at $47 a Casio like this shipped to your door is a bargain! I wish I was in the market for a watch. Well done OP.

  • Ana-Digi

Worst name ever for a watch ! Missing a letter each…

  • Can you press the buttons when in the water?

(I was looking into budget swimming watches and most said, do not press buttons when in water)

  • Sold Out (dammit)

  • Must have picked up the last one.

    • You could thank the OP with a vote maybe.

      • I was but my wife decided it deserved a down vote.

        • Why?

        • LOL nvm … carry on Mr vote inspector.

  • I should have read the reviews. This is a worthless piece of junk. Looks MUCH MUCH better in the pics.

    • What's wrong with it?

      • It's a shitty small/light watch with terrible light. Ironically it has a massive light button that illuminates only 2 digits on the entire watch face. I sent it back for a refund as I don't think it's fit for purpose. I'll see how it goes. Put it this way, I wouldn't have paid more than $20 for it if I'd seen it at a shop. (may be it's just me and everyone else would love it)
