You know where the best bargains are:

Book Airfares Directly with the Airline (use Adioso or the like to find the best price)

Book Accommodation Directly with the Hotel (use Wotif to compare prices)

It will beat these packages every single time.

    • absolutely agree with that but do keep in mind that there are people that want the easy way out :P again, those people will not visit ozbargain in the first place..

  • Actually I beg to differ sometimes on booking things individually - having checked adioso a cheap flight from Syd to Denpasaar is $304 one way and $271 return ($575 all up). Now, a standard room at the Baleka Resort (from their website) is US$38 per night/twin share, so 4 nights * 38 = US$152 (remember this is in USD also), so roughly $575+$160 = $735, as opposed to $679 at: http://www.bestflights.com.au/package-holidays/details/bali/…

But yes, in saying that, I have just came back from Bali using the $19.80 fares posted a few months ago from Pacific Blue and I was glad that I could get to choose my own accommodation, as we had a ball at where we stayed at!

    • -Prices include all pre-payable taxes.
-Your final price will be determined by the taxes which will vary depending on your chosen departure point, your routing, your final destination and currency fluctuations.

Would there be extra taxes on that $679 deal?
