Warlords of Draenor is actually a pretty good expansion.

The garrison side of things adds a completely new dimension to it, and for someone like me that isnt into PVP or raiding, it gives a big chunk of personal questing and storyline that's worth the upgrade.

Especially with the L90 level boost. Great way to level an alt that would otherwise be very frustrating to level (but fun to play at high level).

I disagree. It's a bloody grind fest and should be renamed to Warlords of Garrison. PVP is broken, professions aren't unique and mats are pretty much worthless, legendary quest is boring, raids are fun but get tedious after the first few weeks. The forums on battle.net give you a pretty good idea on how awful this expansion has been. I haven't been able to fly all expansion and the new change they brought in patch 6.2 will still take another 3-4 weeks to unlock flying in Draenor.

I unsubbed at the start of the year, but I doubt it has gotten any better. I want them to kill WoW and make a new MMORPG.

        • It's all about accumulating gold, resources, etc. It's very grindy, moreso than usual, and as much as I love the game Garrisons have taken a lot of the fun out of it for me. I'm basically raiding on my main and doing bugger-all on my alts as there is little to do when you take away raiding/grinding.

Yes, it's shit. Refer to the forums or my post below.

  • Since there's a new expansion coming out some time soon the Warlords of Draenor expansion will be thrown into the Battle Chest at some point not too long after that.

      Coming out next year. lol

  • I recently got back into wow after a 3 year break and I thoroughly enjoy it. The garrison missions are a lot of fun (and addictive) and now that you can use in game gold to pay for your subscription I no longer need to pay my monthly fees anymore.

With the latest 6.2 patch they have added in the shipyard missions which I'm still slowly working out.

As for Draenor flying, WOW was not even going to add it in as they wanted people to enjoy the world properly. The alternative they went with after a large backlash from the community was to make sure at least one character managed to complete a certain number of achievements. At the end of the day, whichever character you selected, once one toon got flying, ALL toons got it. At the same time, to have gotten those achievements, you pretty much had to have run all the content blizzard wanted you to experience. Nothing is supposed to be easy and so a bit of hard work to get flying is a worthwhile effort and at the same time you get to experience the full WOW content.

With regards to PVP, I don't do it but I have observed that the queues to join Ashran are terribly long (4 hours sometimes) and so I am glad I just do raiding instead and avoid PVP like the plague.

As for the new raid content, I thoroughly enjoy it and how the new wings have an increasing iLvl value. The LRF option also gives casual raiders a chance to gear up as well as experience the raid context.

Overall I think that WOW has delivered an exceptional expansion this time around and I thoroughly recommend people to try it out.
