Great yet affordable full-frame camera.
The price makes it at par with grey importers prices, but htis one get 2 year local Canon warranty, plus you might be able to claim TRS.

For tax invoices over $1,000, the tax invoice must also show your name and address.
how do I get the tax invoice to show my name and address? is there a specific way to purchase so that I can reclaim TRS? Thanks!
In this case, Good Guys will issue invoice showing your name and addresses. For other retailers such as Myer, you need to ask them to provide one for you.
Thanks. I didn't get it. So as a couple we can bring back $1800. Cheers, for that.
and then have to declare it if you re-enter Australia so they can re-tax you!
If you are travelling as a family then you can pool your allowance.
The customs officials also tend to be friendly if you are open and helpful.
Great idea :D
Thanks
when you return the item is old and no longer retain it's original value.
They might be sending you a brick.

May I ask what the B stands for? Why is it a 6d(b)? Even in the description its 6db and also 11kgs haha hack job
Apparently B stands for Body Only from what I'm reading. Way to confuse people Canon.
I bought Canon 6D body Oct last year 10% off from DigiDirect for <$1500 maybe due to AUD was good. Comparing 6D vs 5D Mark III, an article convinced me to get 6D as it said that the 5D Mark III was for the rich amateurs. This 6D is a very good affordable full frame, lighter, half price and very close performance to 5D MarkIII, and would great to have a 50mm F1.8 $145 in Ted's stores (maybe try to get a new customer $10 off as mentioned somewhere here)… then a 135mm F2 for portraits…
5dmk3 isn't for rich amateurs, many pros use it… a huge amount comparatively. 6d is a nice middle ground (with shorter shutter life expectancy) for someone wanting a fullframe that doesn't need a fast shooting speed. It also really shines comparitively to any of canons other cameras in low light because the centre auto focus point can focus at -3 ev (it will focus in really dark rooms).
Anyway I've got a 6d too and I love it but i'd trade it for a 5dmk3 any day if I had the option but it's perfectly fine for what I've been using it for.

What bulls***. A lot of pros use the MKIII it is a seriously great camera.
For those wanting to claim TRS you just need the standard invoice from TGG. You should get one from ebay.
great price
I would say this deal in JB is better:

Never a fan of Canon and if you take a look at the comparison tool in DPR, you can see D610 produce much less noise.
Or if you are willing to pay $500 more for wireless, tilt screen and better focusing, there is this deal:

D750is now arguably the best mid range DSLR. IMO better pay $500 more than buying a soon to be phase out product.
Nikon vs Canon, that's suitable for another debate on the forums
I would say it's a debat of wether you should spend 1.5k for a 3 year old model or a current fresh release.
It has arrived today, super fast delivery!
I can confirm this is WG version, means it has Wifi and GPS.
All good.
Genuine question, how would you claim TRS? Isn't there a maximum of $1000? Thanks for any help.
