Xbox 360 Games (Possibly Xbox One): GTA IV: $7.99, GTA: SA $4.99, Splinter Cell: DA $2.48

100

Found this due to this deal being posted a few days ago:

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/199812

In addition to Ghost Recon: Future Soilder (for $2.48), there appears there are other games on sale at the moment on the Xbox 360 marketplace:

Splinter Cell: Double Agent: $2.48
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: $4.99
Grand Theft Auto IV: $7.99

I've only listed the ones I think are good value but there are others in the link. Xbox Live Gold membership is required to purchase these titles.

Don't think you'll even get a second hand copy of of Double Agent for $2.48 and $4.99 for GTA: San Andreas (despite how old the game is now) is a great price as it is due to be released on disc and couldn't find it any cheaper then $25-$30.

Microsoft announced last week that digital titles purchased on the Xbox 360 should automatically appear in your games list on your Xbox One so not sure if these will carry over but if anybody confirm they will/have - then I'll update the title of this deal. I can't check myself as I still haven't upgraded.

  • i can never buy anything for xbone from the site

is it just me or is there only a US site? there's just US with US games (many that arent available in aus) and u can never buy anything or get to an AU site. Pretty crappy this late after launch.

    • There's both a AU and US site - depends where you login from:

      http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Promotion/deals-with-gold - US
      http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-AU/Promotion/deals-with-gold - AU

I had a similar problem recently where regardless of which payment method I used, I could never buy anything from the marketplace or use my remaining credit that rolled over from when they were using points instead of currency.

Contacted them directly and despite them not being able to resolve the issue on the spot, it was escalated and resolved a few days after. Apparently there was a region issue with my account.

Maybe give them a ring on contact chat support.

      • When i login from the AU site, it stays on AU site for maybe one page, and then no matter where i go, like if i click all xbone games, it just goes straight back to US

it doesnt seem i can find any way to avoid it

i didnt even know there was an AU xbone storefront because ive never seen it !

also, ive had an xbone since launch day and always had this issue

        • Do you have a US account? Don't know if it's possible but I'd assume you'd get redirected for that reason.

        • @Dylan2705:

Thanks yeah i seemed to have some region problem.. maybe similar to cheepo above, i guess it mustn't be uncommon..

i went thru support and its fixed now tho - phew !

the AU webfront is still kinda crappy..

i dont need to see "buy xbox one" on every page.. i already have one.. i wish it was as fulsome as the 360 web interface was

        • @Iggemo:

Yes, it was a region problem with mine also and made it worse that I had two gamertags on my console from two different regions. Support put me through a ton of verification via email and sent security codes to phone before they were satisfied that I was the owner of both gamertags and console.

Annoying as it was, I guess it's assuring that they somewhat take security of my gaming console seriously.

Bet you're happy to have it sorted. I know I was.

    • Buy through pc and download later on xbox. Worked fine for me this way.

Link to current list of backwards compatible games, must be part of the Preview Program to access them now, otherwise need to wait til released to the public ("Fall 2015" in US).
Should be quite a few when rolls out officially.

Good deal OP, thanks for sharing.
