Apple iPhone 6 Plus - 128GB Space Grey (MGAC2X/A)- On 'sale' at 206,500 points. With the code it is reduced to 185,850 points.

I did a recent award purchase and it cost me 128,000 + $1000 cash (Taxes and Fuel costs which will apparently drop ~25-40% post 1 July) to get a return trip (MEL-LHR) which is currently worth ~$2,458 (I looked up a flight I had already booked using points for the same dates).

Doing some quick maths, unless the 128gb iPhone is worth $2,117 retail, spending 185,850 points is not worth it. You would be better off spending it on flights or flight upgrades.

Note sure if there are any actual bargains on the Qantas site are but please let us know if you find some. Personally I was tempted by the Ski Boot bag but I already have one.
