  They actually had some new items on sale which weren't there last week when I was looking for replacement work shoes.

  Be prepared to throw them out in a few months as none of the Hush Puppies shoes I have worn in the past year or two have lasted more than a few months. This is after taking care of them via polish etc and not even really using them too much (mostly sitting and about 1km of walking a day).

  The soles don't last long either. Do yourself a favour and spend 100+ and get proper shoes that last longer. Some florsheim ones are great as are some Aussie companies. Rockport and the like are a bit dearer but they definitely last longer.

  Alternatively, you want to get at least the crystal sole variety from julius marlow (also made in China). At least their soles last a bit longer…

    Have to agree with u. Last pair of hush puppies the leather on top peeled after 5 months. I question whether it was real leather. Poor poor quality. Get a pair of Clarks instead.

    Yeah gotta agree with you there — I bought a pair of hush puppies (similar to the 'Darwin' design) about 10 years ago. I only wear them on formal occasions (once or twice per year) and the soles are nearly destroyed. If I wore them every day I'd be mighty pissed off — only 40-80 days of wear and they look as they do.
    However they are pretty comfortable :)

    I've been wearing my Hush Puppies to work every day for the past 2 years and they're holding out just fine mate.

      What ones are they? I think the old ones were quite fine but the new ones have had a drop in quality. Perhaps it was a model that featured a hardy sole? It's a shame really because they are quite comfy, but just don't seem to last as of late.

        I have four pairs but I can't remember names other than for the last pair I bought. One is a strap style shoe and the other is a standard tan Oxford. The newer pair I bought is called Habit, it's my go to slip on shoe, it's lasted me fine this past year and a bit. So long as you're not kicking a ball around in them I've had no issues in terms of wear and tear.

        Though of course glancing at the US website, they seem to give us the lesser Hush Puppies available.

        @Panama:

        I have had a great experience with them too, I have the Houdini 2 slip-on that has been going strong for about 4 years of wearing to work almost every day. The soles are pretty worn out, but I would have done literally a couple of thousand kms in them.

        Maybe I have just been lucky. We will see how the new pair go when they arrive.

  Great deal - thank you. Have a few pairs of their suede shoes I picked up a few years ago still going strong. Don't wear them all the time, but they are super comfy and last for ages.

  Picked up two more pairs - and the free returns is great if they don't look good.
