  • You need to pay yearly fees for online storage? $20 seems pretty cheap. I suppose makes perfect sense. 0 risk of being lost. I am assuming its legit.

      WT ????

      • $20 yearly fees??? WDF what if u die after 50 years??? cheaper to get a "REAL" paper will…. :\

      • I misunderstood. I thought it was completely online like storing on the cloud. It seems all they do is just let to fill it online and then print it out. Still need some custodian for the will.

Most states have a free will services. e.g. QLD: http://www.pt.qld.gov.au/wills/
I think I'd rather use the government body that actually processes the estate anyway.

PT would be a last option to administer a Will, not the first. Fees will definitely add up before the end of it.

      • Can you please expand upon this? I don't have a will and really should get one. On the face of it this looked like a good option…

PT have billing down to a fine art, every minute, every correspondence, every piece of paper, every stamp etc is billed. If there is a bit of money involved, they will run off to get a top-tier law firm or counsel opinion on just about anything to protect themselves. As I said, last option for people who really have no one they could appoint. By example, I saw monthly accounts from PT managing monies left by a parent for someone with a slight disability. What was paid to this person each month made the invested money self sustaining from interest each month. Monthly PT administration fees put that into the negative so that the investment amount was dwindling. Attendance to pay monthly bills all billed by PT, any request for non-repetitive cost to be paid (ie car repair) required request to file manager (billed), which was then referred to senior for decision (billed), then back to file manager (billed) then inform person of decision (billed) then billed to attend to payment - if approved. It all quickly adds up… Use them to do you will, just don't appoint them to be executor.

        • @ATD:
          Great insight, thanks for replying!

  • They've previously been caught sockpuppeting here, doesn't exactly instill much confidence or trust.

  • As far as I can see there are no fees involved, I used the code and got the will kit for free.

I filled the will out and downloaded it, the only details I gave them were my name/dob/address/email address and the beneficiaries names
