That was meant to be for an older model which is very similarly named. I know because I went and saw the DJs POS system during that deal. The price was never meant to apply to the model from this deal, even though some people managed to get this one using smooth ozbargain moves, including persuasively convincing certain other retailers to price match :) This is a very good price for a brand new system. Well used ones on ebay often fetch 550+

No, the whole setup involves proprietary cables. You could audio out from a receiver into this, but then why would you do that.
The weird cabling is one issue the other is cost of repair. I had to repair a clients acoustimass (the big bass module) from a 5.1 Bose system (which look similar to this) - the power supply died (common issue) and it cost $480 to fix.
Bought two years back from Myer for 799/-. Worth every cent, enjoying the natural sounds coming out of the two small speakers and the acoustimass module.
How much is it normally ?
