    Just checked out their website. Their latest shoe, which I think is for basketball:

    According to the price of ￥539.00 (I assume that is the Chinese Yuan sign) that's roughly $113.92 AUD. Whoa. That's not cheap. Didn't think the Chinese had the kind of dosh to pay for sports shoes.

    and this monstrosity is around $232 AUD, quite a bit more expensive than a Nike Air max…

          @ms: Even if you assume like 90% of the population are poor and 1% are rich and only 9% can/will be the target market, it's 123,299,100. It's more than Australian population. I am being ridiculously generous here since Chinese wage have been rising (to an extent where factories are moving to other places like Vietnam etc) and I bet more people can afford it.

        I actually remember hearing about the sheer number of Chinese people (duh) and how it makes online games to service in China because even if it flops, the number of people playing it is simply far more than what you'd expect from other countries (even if they succeed, that is). It was fairly long time ago when I read that though, don't know whether it had any truth to it either.

        What is the average wage in China? Can a common man afford these shoes? Number of millionaires is irrelevant unless the shoes are made of gold and studded with diamonds.

          A simple Google search tell me the average wage in Chinese cities is 8300USD in 2013. So yes I would think many ppl can afford.
          Nike recorded revenue of 7.4 billion, with 2.6 billion from China. Enough to say.

          Lets say the 100AUD shoes cost 1/7 of their monthly income. that's about the same as an average Australian buying a mobile phone.
          as someone has mentioned, even 1/10 of the population is a HUGE market.
          In fact, their income tax rate is very low, and they buy more smart phone than any other country.

      LiNing badminton shoes are as good as any other brand from my experiences.
      as ignorant as you might be, go to those luxury shop, you'd find many Asian clients and shops would regularly closed for a VIP shopping session because there's a tour group more likely to be Chinese shopping there, they'll spend AU$2000 on a bag and normally would buy a few in one go! we havent talk about luxury watches etc. this happens right around world, espcially in EU & US. biggest spending tourists are Chinese in recent years.
      You'd argue corruption, yes, but only part of it. some are just highly paid Multinational company executives making a handsome salary, I know a dozen of them regularly spend like that. The apartment they live in major China cities worth 1-3 million AUD, and they normally own a few of these all from clean money. those who has very successful business, would be miles ahead of these executives. go figure!

    supposedly own by the famous gymnastic champion of china who his name is the brand

    started at the beginning as Nike rip off (even the old first gen logo looks similar to Nike's)

    but it grows out on its own to be china's own sports wear brand.

    Weather not they are for real? that is the biggest question of them all… since i managed to brought a pair of Adidas at about the same price from Catch of the day which turns out the lower layer rubber begin peeling off… clearly a bad quality or counterfeit batch, then at the same time, i brought a Costco own brand pair at 5 AUD cheaper than this Li Ling which turns out excellent in every aspect! so here goes.. anything can happen!

    Looks funky in design but if the counterfeit is good on quality.. it wont be too bad.. remember just a few years back the news on the X times of markup NIKE had compare to how much they paid the poor worker to make them…

    One of the good things about Aliexpress (which lessens the risk of buying) is that the seller is not paid until the buyer confirms that they received the correct goods. In the event that a buyer discovers that the item is fake or was not described correctly, they refuse to pay and can then request a refund.

      I'm a bit sick of Aliexpress. Received too many rubbish products/faulty products/or stuff simply never showed up. Then add in the fact that they expect you to send the item back = a negative experience and I don't buy from them anymore unless I already know the product or the seller.
      NB. I have bought many things from them, but lately I have had far more failures than wins :-(
