This is used heavily by our java devs, not the personal edition but its the same program all the same.

So for those wanting to work as a java dev, this is used in commercial environments.

You can also use eclipse which IMHO is pretty decent.

    Same. I would never go back to Eclipse after using this. If you're a programmer, this is a no-brainer. If you just dabble a bit, the $0 price of Eclipse is pretty tempting.

      I paid for it, and if you know me IRL, that is a big statement.
      
      But I make a living using it. So it's like paying for tools for my trade, which
      I have no problem with.

Eclipse is excellent and free. All my friends who are professional JAVA developers for big companies and research institutes still use Eclipse.

They also use Eclipse to teach university students Java.
