Is there any reviews of this looking to hire a carpet cleaner to wash some carpets even do car from time to time wondering if this be better, also what do you use with this item for cleaning i suppose its got not cleaning stuff with it and will cost extra.
This isnt a carpet cleaner (for washing carpets) - its just a vacuum cleaner that can be used for sucking up liquids such as spills.
I have the smaller version which is great for the car… If you're thinking this will shampoo your carpets you're out of luck, it's just a vacuum that can handle wet surfaces as well as dry… I'd be hiring the carpet cleaners you see near the checkouts at Coles and woolies, they do a good job in my experience :)
Just ordered had one years ago very good unit.you could years ago buy a separate head for shampooing carpets did a great job but for under 70 dollars I believe a good buy.you could years ago pull the motor off top of vacuum and attach a hose and use as a leaf blower very good idea not sure about these.
Good pickup for ADF officer cadets wanting to get stuck into some "woofering". There's a 'proud' tradition of that to uphold
Thanks! I just ordered one for the Man Cave
Thanks, ordered one. It should be good enough for vacuum cleaning my car.
I would highly recommend that you buy the micro attachments if you are intending to use it for your car primarily. It works wonders getting into tight areas like seat rails where dusts and other crap can easily accumulate. Great for vacumming the cracks and gaps in the seats.
Thanks for the advice, I will have a look at those when I drop by Masters for pickup tomorrow.
Ordered one just now :^)
Using this 15 percent off deal I grabbed a mower for $534 down from $629. Even the Masters staff were asking me how to find it on ebay.
Owned one of these for a bit as well as the entry level Karcher - from my experience I recommend this Shop-Vac for most tasks although the Karcher is miles ahead on build quality.
Despite it's cheap look and feel I prefer using the Shop-Vac as it's smaller but mainly because it's made of propylene plastic rather than metal for certain parts: you really can bash the **** out of this and it won't deform or stick (well - rust actually). Metal parts will deform permanently unlike plastic.
However if you reguarly have large floor areas you wish to vacuum I would pay more for the Karcher as it's larger head it much more suitable.
A small word of warning: it's very easy to rip the filter when removing the motor unit from the Shop-Vac, be careful when cleaning or replacing the filter.
Silly question, but i can use it to vacuum my carpet and in-house( wood-floor) too? Was thinking about those Dyson handstick DC45 or newer version, but they cost much more than this Shopvac.
Just want to know that does this Shop vac really good at "sucking"?Thank you very much, guys.
Yes. Try this accessorie for $19.99

Don't worry shop vac plenty of power goes great on wooden floors
I purchased the same vacuum cleaner at Godfreys last year, there everyday price is $59 http://www.godfreys.com.au/shopvac-super-20l-wet-dry
It's not the same model. The Masters one is 30L. I don't know about what accessories come with one or the other.
I bought the 40L version of this a year or so ago. The model being discussed here doesn't come with the brush head, so you'll have to buy that separately if you're thinking about using it on hard floors. Mine came with a brush head but it's crap. The bristles don't stay engaged for more than a minute. Keep having to push the lever to engage the bristles. Mine also comes with a power socket that activates the vac when whatever you plug into it is turned on. Great for use with power tools that have dust extraction. The Masters prices have gone up heaps on the Shop Vacs. I paid $99 for mine (regular price) and it's now listed at $179.
Fortunately, I use mine mainly to clean up in the garage after I've done work at the workbench, so doesn't affect me too much. The Shop Vac also has quite a narrow nozzle so most regular heads won't fit. You'd need to source a reducer of some sort potentially. I went into Godfreys a while back and inquired and they didn't have anything to suit.
Can anyone venture an opinion about how useful something like this is to pump water out of a tank? Especially sludgy water.
I know it only holds 30L..Why don't you buy a dirty water pump it's $75 save $10 atm
picked up mine today. It works both way as vacuum cleaner + Blower. Not best for carpet cleaning due to missing brush attachment. Can anybody please give me a link to buy a brush attachment for it?
Lots of accessories on the masters website
Try this one for carpet cleaning it's $19.99Thanks for the link
but i found a cheaper one on ebay for $12.95 delivered.VACUUM BUDGET HEAD NOZZLE 4 MOST MAKES SIZE 32MM SUITS HARD AND CARPET FLOORS
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VACUUM-BUDGET-HEAD-NOZZLE-4-MOST-…That's the one I have. It's crap. The brushes just won't stay engaged.
Would it handle leaves? We get alot of them blowing into our yard. Looks like the diameter of the hose is too small?
Leaf blowers seem more hassle than they are worth so I was thinking a vacuum
You're right about the size of the hose. It's ok for fine leaves but I often have to fish out bigger leaves out of the hose and head. I tend to blow the big stuff out of my garage and suck the finer dust and leaves left behind.
Thanks. I want an all in one outdoorsy unit so I skipped this one
Whats the function of the collector bag that came with it? Do i need to attach it for dry vacuuming?
There are no instructions available for it. As i have previously used bag less vacuum's so dont have a clue for its purpose. I did some dry vacuuming without the bag and the dust has been collected in the tank. I have not used the bag yet…..
Thanks, just ordered. Remember to use CashRewards for an extra $1.58 back
