    Any feedback on this phone?

Can you get 4g on both sims?

    • 2g only on the second sim from everything Ive seen

  • +1

    Plus delivery …

Also this is Hong Kong version doesn't support brand 700 but anyway good price if you don't need that 700.

    • what providers use that band?

      • +1

        Telstra and Optus :P

        • Great! Probably two sims I would be using ;)

      • +1

        Telstra and Optus 4GX

should be band 700MHz …. NOT brand lol …

        • Thanks, I guess it would be better to avoid in my case.

        • +2

          @skazclaw:

Go get the Taiwan version on eBay qd_au which support 700MHz also comes with quick charger for 4GB version. A lot of people bought it during eBay 10% off including me.

          @superforever:

Ahh yes, I was kicking myself for missing that one. As a true Ozbargainer I have to wait until there is another sale..

        • @superforever:
What's it like? Do you rate the cameras?

        • @CleverCounter:

Just received it today not very sure yet but you should be able to find some sample from youtube.

        • @dng123: Thank you!

    • i thought ZE551ML is taiwan version?
      same with ql_au sold:
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-ASUS-ZenFone-2-ZE551ML-4G-LTE…

edit: i see the eglobal spec doesnt have 700mhz.. hmmm

      • No.

        http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/astore/Asus-Zenfone-2-ZE…

**Our Stock will be Hong Kong Version.
LTE Bands that Hong Kong Version Cover:

        2100MHz(1)/1900MHz(2)/1800MHz(3)/1700MHz AWS(4)/850MHz(5)/2600MHz(7)/900MHz(8)/800MHz(20)

Compare with Taiwan version, Hong Kong Version don't support 700MHz(28), but do cover 2600MHz(7) & 800MHz(20) two more LTE Bands.

        • ok so same version model number but different market made, different freq. amazingly confusing

        • +1

@erwinsie: This phone is the most confusing I have ever seen. The same version number comes with different CPU/RAM/storage and different frequencies

        • @deeevan: The taiwanese are trying to create a real life Inception with phones.

  • I am looking for a dual sim phone. I have the Moto G at the moment, paid $250 but it lags from time to time, and kinda annoys me at the speed (after comming from an LG G2).

I am hoping this will be a decent upgrade - then i need to sell the Moto G - the extra RAM should be good, i hope the screen size isnt a massive jump in my pocket.

$233 gets you the lower end one:

    http://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/asus-zenfone-2-ze550…

    Which im still considering.

Are these better than the Zenphone 5? - better specs, but the numbers indicate this one is older.

Wow… way too much talk… too much coffee…

    • Check out yourself what people said, even 2GB ram make a big difference.

      http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2355914

    • $233 version is 720P screen though

      • 720p better for battery life? I would prefer battery life over fullHD screen.

        • +1

I heard that a Nokia 3310 can last up to 260hrs (close to 11 Earth Days). The battery is changeable too!

  • for android the 4gb is definitely worth it for future proofing…android will only get more resource heavy with each update no matter how hard the stock is optimized…apps will grow

  • Nice phone, wish it didnt have a locked bootloader though…

  • Whats the battery life, is it as good as the dual sim G3? which is 2 days, or terrible like my moto g (not even a day).

  • +1

Ahh wish it was the taiwanese version

  • DWI is selling the same model for A$345.00

    Here is the link —

    • +1

The one you saw is actually the 32GB model while this one here is 64GB.

That said, the last time I heard, DWI and eGlobal are run by the same people.

there are 70 pre installed apps on this phone.

performance of atom processor is nowhere compare to one plus one snapdragon.

    • +1

Are you sure? Zenfone 2 4GB/64GB is faster than LG G3, Samsung Note 4 and Samsung Note Edge.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDIlE6oHPUs

Are you still thinking the old netbook Atom processor?

        quote from same article

The Zenfone 2 also comes with a lot of bloat. Most are proprietary apps like ZenCircle and MyASUS, but there are also a surprising amount of third-party applications like Amazon Kindle, Jawbone’s Up, TripAdvisor, etc. Before I downloaded my first app (Spotify, always Spotify) I almost had 70 different apps on this smartphone already. That seems excessive.

I don’t have good news on the camera side of things either. The few low-light shots I’ve taken are pretty grainy. Well-lit photos look vivid and the camera app has an impressive array of manual controls, but the lens had a few focusing problems on some close-up shots and the results were a blurry mess. Not exactly what you want out of your smartphone.

I will wait for LG G4….

        • I will wait for LG G4…

So you mean you don't own one and have never tried it?

I don’t have good news on the camera side of things either. The few low-light shots I’ve taken are pretty grainy

Yeah I heard the camera is a bit let down but you are comparing it with a phone double the price.

        • @superforever:

Nopes. I am nexus guy currently on Nexus 5.

You talk like you own it if you have never use it you are giving a lot misleading information to others.

Setting up mine last night, a lot of those bloat you can actually uninstall it.

The phone is so so smooth a lot faster than Samsung S6 I tried in store. Of course the camera you cannot compare it with high end expensive models but they are OK.

That's an amazing deal … wow!

If only it was the TW version.
