    246.70 Australian Dollars

  • Also watch our for the ugly black boarder around the screen. Watch any youtube review and you'll see what I mean.

    • -1

      Is this a Lenovo phone?
It is very tempting, what are the cons?

    • i have seen a lot of videos but i did not feel any difference as this black boarder is also presented in my galaxy tab S and note 4 but its minimal in samsung devices

  • Any mini PC deals?

    • +2

What do you have in mind? I can probably get a coupon made.

      • That would be amazing. Well seeing as Gearbest have fallen through on the Ainol mini PC, any deal on that with an actual ETA and I would snap it right up! Would also be happy with a Beelink Pocket P1.

        • +2

The Ainol is currently in stock at Geekbuying, so I'll contact my rep and hopefully I'll get a response by tomorrow afternoon/evening.

        • Awesome!

        • @Clear:
          Any news?

        • +1

@frostee: The coupon MKHCFEYK will get you the Ainol Mini PC for 104.99 USD.

        • @Clear:
          Legend! You guys rock, ordered!

  • -3

Is this better then the sasung galaxy s6 edge and note edge?

  • -2

    No

  • 5.5 inch is kinda big….Xiaomi make the best China phones IMO

    • Vivo, Oppo, OPO and Meizu are pretty much on the same level as them, I would say.

      • It's so great to see that Chinese branded phones are getting good reputation overseas. A couple years ago nobody would by a mobile phone with a Chinese brand, not even people in China.

    • Pretty much the same as an iPhone 6 Plus and all those others Rorschach listed.

  • The Q&A on the link says no Play Store. Can it be installed, or can you only side load apps on this phone?

    • it has google play store installed and os is cynogenmode 12.1 (lollipop 5.1.1)

    • I'd have to double check with a rep, but if it isn't installed then it would be easy to sideload Google Play onto it. Geekbuying usually has instructions in their blog on how to do it.

  • Quick question. Do they charge in AUD or USD? Just wondering do i need to take into consideration any foreign exchange fees for my credit card. thanks.

    • It will be charged in USD.

  • i ordered mine for US 197 including TOLL (3 to 7 Days) shipping from gearbest (using EP7000 code which is now not available), in gold colour but geekbuying charge extra for DHL

    • +1

If you're in an area that DHL considers to be "remote" then you have to pay a fee for it to be transferred to another carrier during transit.

      • I am in brisbane cbd (not really remote) and they charge extra for DHL as well

        • Whenever you select DHL and you're in a remote area it says an additional fee will be charged. Is something else happening? I live in Tassie where there is no DHL, so I don't know for certain.

  • Has anyone had experience with this company. Very mixed reviews in google searches…

    • Do you mean Elephone or Geekbuying?

  • That would be Geekbuying Clear. But if you answer, it might be biased ;-)

    • +2

Yup it would be, but I'll answer anyway :P

I've made 24 orders in total with Geekbuying and the only issue I've had was that one item was DOA, but I got a refund. About 15 of those orders were made before I became Associated with an employee.

Generally the bad reviews you find online are for a few reasons. People have used free shipping with or without tracking and the package has been delayed or lost. Thanks to holidays like the Chinese New Year, orders may be delayed up to a couple of weeks, which results in angry customers. And of course, sometimes mail does get lost, but if you use EMS (Auspost Express), DHL or TNT it's very unlikely to get lost.

I'd recommend going through the deals posted here and see for yourself. I will admit that some people have had issues, but I try my best to get it resolved.

any special on the P3000S 3Gb upgraded version?

    http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Elephone-P3000S-Advanced-5-0-…

    • gonna be any lollipop for this?

      • ya cynogenmode 12.1 which is lollipop 5.1.1

        • er who ever negged me, are we on the same page?
This question is for the P3000S which states Android 4.4 OS

        • +1

@AMLagonda: There has been an exponential growth in the amount of people negging for no apparent reason.

  • Thanks op.

Never heard of this phone or brand before but decided to bite the bullet and order one.
Had been eyeing the LG G3 or Samsung S6 to replace my LG G2 but then this came along which is a whole lot cheaper than both.

Previously bought a Chinese THL w8 phone which turned out to be surprisingly good, so figured I'd try another Chinese phone.

Price seemed to be cheapest I could find (admittedly didn't look too hard). Around $US20 cheaper than other stores (since all/most others are giving $10 coupons)

    • Why not get an asus zenfone 2? Only tradeoff I can see is the NFC VS Fingerprint, 2GB ram vs 3 GB ram, Dual active vs dual standby.

      • Yeah only 2gb ram, smaller battery, no gimmick fingerprint scanner, quad core vs octacore.

I did think about getting the higher spec zenfone 2 ze551ml, but that cost more.

      • Plus on screen buttons rather than on the phone itself. Plus this is octa-core and 64 bit.

      • this phone has 45000+ antutu benchmarks without any overclock, extra apk's removal and customisation which is near galaxy note 4 (48000+). This phone is real a flagship killer plus cheaper price with dual active sim cards (both sims remain active but in case of calling other sim will stop working) plus this phone is 8.9mm and asus zenfone 2 is 10.9mm which is big difference

      • What is the different between Dual active vs dual standby ?

        • Dual active means both sim cards are in use at a time and dual standby means only one is in use at a time. Refer to this for more information. ;)

    • This phone would be pretty good value for money, IMO.
The MTK processors are bettered by similar Qualcomm ones in GPU performance alone.
Unless you insist on running the latest and most graphically intense games on it, it should be fine.
On a side note, I would love to replace my LG G2 with the ZTE Nubia Z9! Doesn't look like it'll be cheap, though.

      • that ZTE nubia z9 looked amazing… till i saw the price!

so it's not even in the ballpark of this elephone p7000…

for that sort of money (assume that was quoted in USD) i'd probably just buy the LG G4 itself or the galaxy S6

  • 199AUD and Free XIAOMI Intelligent Bluetooth v4.0 Sport Mi Band Fitness Bracelet at https://www.allbuy.com/detail/c5b31a0e-d9c7-41a2-b78f-7ca3e7…

    • sold out but this was not actual price it was $159 with ELE coupon which you need to get in lucky draw

      • ah ok, cheers

  • @Associated can you please post to Pakistan if i pay from paypal but address is Australian? can you please change delivery address ? and which company will be delivering it in Pakistan ? i need to order one more but gearbest is not satisfactory in delivering there.

here is my order number: #3343753 still unpaid

    • When you checkout you'll be able to set the address to Pakistan in both Paypal and the Geekbuying order confirmation page. Typically free shipping is sent with China Mail, SingPost or PostNL. Once the package arrives in Pakistan, a local company will take over. Unfortunately I don't know for sure what company that would be.

Edit: I'm guessing it could be PakPost, but I could be wrong.

      • the problem is Paypal does not allow me to change shipping address to Pakistani (as Paypal does not support Pakistan yet)

        • +1

Alright then, please email the Geekbuying staff at [email protected] and explain that to them. They should be able to sort something out.

  • The specs on this phone are very impressive for the price and I will be watching the on release reviews very closely. Great price, better than you'll get from anywhere else currently on pre-release. They're ~$310aud on aliexpress with DHL delivery last I checked.

Thanks for the heads up op but I will be waiting for reviews. This promises to blow the Oneplus one out of the water bang for buck but too risky to be first IMO.

  • This discount code appears to be no longer valid.

    • Sorry about that, the 50pcs limit has been reached.

      • Will there be any more discounts like this in future?

        • Yeah, but I have no ETA on that unfortunately.

  • any idea when these will be shipped?

    • Should be very soon I hope.

      • Emailed them, first they said 27th, now received another reply saying early June…

      • hope soon as well, keep getting emails with delays, interstingly it says in stock on the website….

        • Looks like they ran out of stock with the first lot and the next lot will be coming along shortly. Sorry for the delay.

        • @Clear: do you know how easy it is too cancel orders? couple other websites give away free gifts such as case, car charger and screen protector

        • +1

@Ozziebargainhunter: Under Live Chat in the top right corner of the page, click Start Online Chat. If you don't want to wait too long you can email [email protected] and ask them to cancel the order.

        • Let me know once yours ships. I'm waiting for a gold one to be shipped.

If it takes much longer I'll probably just cancel and buy one of those cheap LG G3 that are rapidly dropping in price.

        • wish they would just give a proper eta instead of petty excuses…

"This is the customer service of geekbuying.
          Thanks for your order .
We are sorry that the item you ordered Elephone P7000 is still pre-sale and the factory updated the available time that it will be launched in early June.
It is extremely popular ,we need a number of it to meet demands ,we also need to confirm the device can work smoothly .
Hope you can wait for it ."

        • @dom_christo: Probably more a case of they don't have an exact date. Tell me your order number and I'll try to make it a priority.

        • @edrift: What's your order number? I'll try to get it out faster.

        • @Clear:
          sent you a PM

        • @Clear: My order is 3343228.

Happy to receive either the WHITE or GOLD colour - whatever is in stock first.

        • @edrift Alright I've passed it on. I will probably get a response tomorrow. Tonight if we're lucky.

        • @edrift: Black is going to be instock on the 5th. Golden and white version is currently in stock, so I can get your order to be changed to that if you want.

        • @Clear:

Yes i'll take the GOLDEN one as first preference, WHITE as second, and BLACK as last.
Dont care which one i receive as long as it arrives soon!

(sorry couldn't PM you as i'm in Singapore for work but still an ozbargain regular)

        • @edrift: No worries then. I'll pass it on.

        • @edrift: Alright, what you need to do is email [email protected] with your order number and ask for it to be changed to the Golden one. They'll sort it all out for you.

        • @Clear:

thanks for helping expedite the order! I received shipping confirmation today. Hopefully it arrives tomorrow (DHL is saying it should but then again my latest experience with DHL was receiving a 71kg package instead of a single photo album)

        • @edrift: Glad to help. I've always heard mixed things about DHL… I live in Tassie so I can't use it unfortunately.

        • Hi guys,

Just letting you know i just received my P7000 this morning - it was overnight shipping from Hong Kong to Singapore (i'm an aussie expat) via DHL!

Can't tell you much as i haven't played with the phone yet.
My OTA update is failing saying the system is damaged (scary!).

I CAN tell you that i feel a bit cheated by Geek Buying. They have removed the free flip case and tempered glass screen protector and they also didn't include the free Xiao Mi Piston earphones that was advertised (but now they have removed that deal so i have no proof).

So i guess we saved around $20 but at the expense of not getting the flip cover or tempered glass protector. It still came with the plastic one though (actually two… a factory fitted one and a spare in the box).

It's just annoying that i'll now need to order the glass protector and case separately and wait longer…

        • @edrift: I can find out for you as it might still be on the way. Accessories are shipped separately from the phone as they're in the China warehouse.

        • @Clear:

I somewhat doubt it. In the unboxing videos i've seen the accessories are included in the box. There's even a large space for the flip case and glass protector. My box was just empty in this section so i'm pretty sure it's been removed to sell separately.

To be fair, the original ad (and current ad) on geekbuying didn't mention these things to be included. However i was hoping it would be as it's the standard packaging from Elephone.

I do appreciate your help in speeding up my shipping and appreciate geekbuying letting me swap to the golden colour after i had mistakenly ordered the black one originally.

Also thanks for introducing me to this deal too! I would've bought the LG G3 otherwise and missed out on this great deal.

        • -1

@edrift: I'll still find out though. If it's not the case then you're welcome to use our 6% off coupon to order from the anniversary flash sales.

        • @edrift: Hi I'm interested in getting this phone is it any good and how's the 4g on it

        • @tds:

Yeah the phone is alright. it's not perfect but i think most of the flaws are something that future ROMS will fix. There's already been an official OTA update as well as a custom ROM release and if you combined those two together, you'd almost have a perfect phone.

4g seems to work well on it and i do find the dual sim feature handy. I'm yet to run a speedtest over 4G on it as everytime i do that, i believe it chews through 150mb of my data! perhaps near the end of my billing period if i've got extra data i'll try it out.

For normal browsing it seems fast enough. Call quality is surprisingly good too.

I think it's worth getting even at full price ($US229) as you'll get the free gifts that i missed out on.

The problem is that right now there's not a whole lot of stock and on the official forums i think i'm the only one actively posting on it - i'm interested to hear if anyone else from Ozbargain received theirs yet?

        • @Clear:

So i contacted Geekbuying directly and they said it wasn't included as it wasn't mentioned on their site (fair enough).

I do still feel slightly cheated since it's a standard inclusion of the product unless you get it for the ridiculously cheap flash sale price (which i didn't).

I possibly would've been prepared to pay full price upfront if i had known i'd be missing out on the accessories (since at least the tempered glass protector is essential).

        • @edrift: thanks fir the write up I hear you can get cyanogen for it now? I've preordered it on the Dx website but I'm reconsidering it because I may not receive it until late this month! Cost me 280 all up with ex shipping and insurance

        • @edrift: That's disappointing. I had a look around online and found that the ones with the free gifts were far more expensive than what this sold for. I've purchased some of the previous models before and never had any accessories, but maybe the P7000 is an exception.

        • @tds:

The CM12 (or is it 12.1?) that they've released for it is closed source which goes against the Cyanogenmod principle. I dont think they'll have regular builds for it but most likely have just released a once off beta build.
I've yet to try it because it's reported that the earphones dont work in that build and nor does the fingerprint sensor.

Having said that, it looks like elephone ARE committed to releasing ROMS for it. They have now released a total of 3 ROMs which isn't bad given the phone hasn't even been out for a month.
Yes the ROMs are largely beta versions, but it shows they're trying.

I know it's a painful wait for the phone, but i'd say it's worth waiting for… at the price i'm not sure you could get anything better (though i suppose that's a subjective opinion).

Unless the LG G3 D855 drops to say around $350 delivered, i'd think paying $280 is still worth it for this.
