Garden Shed 1.52m X 0.78m X 1.95m - Bunnings $129

550

Looks like Bunnings have a counter offer for the Masters Shed deal (like they do most Friday nights when Masters advertise their special product). This one is $10 cheaper than Masters, and quite a bit bigger.

Here is a link to the Masters deal posted earlier tonight: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/193442

a much better size for people wanting a small shed.

  • Like mee. Thanks for the post

  • +29

Should be big enough to keep the kids in while I go out.

What's the rent like for these in Sydney?

    • +34

      $650 week

      • +15

I reckon I could put in a divider and get $500 for each room.

        • Stack them on top of each other call hi rise….

          rps: 10 sheds please
Bunnings: oh, you're a property developer!

  • +2

hmm, now I just need to find the $20k to buy the land to put it on.

    • +3

I think you missed a zero

      • try a few zeros the way sydney market going after the interest cut down

  • +2

I have one of these, you'll need to buy a rivet tool/gun to put it together. Fun and games. Paid $180ish back in the day before Masters was in town.

  • +2

How many cars can I fit in this?

    • +8

As many hot wheels as you like ;)

    • I SWEAR I am telling you the truth….
      less than 3.

  • will this fit an average size lawn mower and line trimmer?

    • It might be just big enough for one mower, some pots, paint tins etc, but getting the mower in & out might be a squeeze.
There's often fullsize 2nd hand sheds for free in Gumtree, I'd go for that to keep bikes, tools, old furniture and what knot. Instead of such a small shed. I have 6 sheds/garages I like a big one better.

      • Thanks

    • Yes. We have a similar, it has a mower, trimmer and other bits and pieces.

      • Similar depth? Is it awkward to get the mower in/out without hitting the door/sides?

        • Yes same depth, the mowers handle folds up though (its an electric mower). The shed we have is a double door so the whole front opens.
Its not a huge shed but enough for a mower trimmer and other garden stuff (theres a shelf high up.)

I just looked though the bunnings sheds and cant find the same we have, but my wife bought it years ago, maybe they dont have them anymore.(knowing my wife it would have been a heap more in price than this one)

    Perfect for my pool table

The problem with Bunnings when they advertise deals just to beat Masters is they never have stock…

    • +1

      Ran check?

I've done it before with the bunnings masters deals…ordered and paid over phone for the deal. Get phoned when it arrives in store.

  • These look the same as the aldi ones that I bought for $169 back in February/March. My biggest complaint was that some of the holes weren't particularly well made and needed redrilling and some of them weren't quite in the right place, forcing me to still my own.
A river gun suitable for putting the door on only set me back $10 at bunnings.

  • I bought a very similar shed from Bunnings - but got the colored one not raw zinc. I think they look a lot better coloured if you can see them. I use it for my pool equipment. They are pretty good for the price, but take about a day of assembly and you need some tools like a decent cordless drill and rivet gun.

How have people anchored their sheds? Put down a slab? Concreted in some pavers? I need a small shed for my bikes…

    • +1

2 metal straps attached to any large scrap metal buried 1foot+ underground. Bolt to opposite ends of shed. That's all I've done.
If you can't dig, you could instead bolt two Rsj beams to each end. So the shed can't fly in a cyclone.

    • Use wooden sleepers instead of concrete - much easier and equally difficult for someone to walk off with.

      • +2

i think anchoiring it properly to prevent it from being blown away in a severe storm is more imporant than theft.

        • Sleepers are quite heavy. I have them as a floor/base in my shed, and there's no way it's moving anywhere.

    • I put down a slab - never bothered actually bolting it to the slab though as I reckon the weight of the shed holds itself down. It went through all those Sydney storms without budging.

      • I put some bolts in the bottom of my shed pointing inwards, then poured a slab floor such that the bolts ended up covered in the slab.

  • $149 now

    • $129 when I check

    • $129 when I checked just now.

Can I store my masters shed in there?

  • +5

Perfect for all the eneloops I've bought, wifey keeps complaining there's no room in the bed for her with them in here.

    • +3

She could sleep in the shed.

    • +1

I hate to ask, but why so many batteries needed in bed?

      • +2

Look pretty odd softly chanting "My Precious", without them :)

  • +2

I imagine getting a mower in to the Bunnings shed is kind of awkward (due to depth) - and maybe the Masters shed is better suited with its dimensions:

    Masters shed
    1265mm high / 1410mm wide / 1070mm deep

    versus
    Bunnings shed
    1950mm high / 1520 wide / 780mm deep

… although door location on Masters shed doesn't look too convenient.

The masters one looks nicer imo.

      • Look up

      • yeah i think so too. The flat roof - I wonder if water pools in it though and more likely to rust out.

    • 1265mm high.. What am I, a hobbit?!

  • Yer back to $129 now

  • +1

Do you think you could stack 1ton of firewood in it?

    • +5

      If you pay me ;)

    • +1

A guess is: 1 ton of firewood equals ~2 cubic meters.
So if stacked up in bags nearly to roof, you might just make it.
Referring to the Bunnings shed above.

Thanks OP picked one up from The Crossroads. They had two near the front already put on trolleys. All i had to do is roll it out the door. Wasnt hard to fit in car either.

  • do they have a floor or do you need to lay your own slab?

  • No floor

  • I've used besser block caps for my floor. 85c each and larger than pavers. Total cost for the floor was around $15-20. Would have come to about $60 to pave the same area with property pavers, unless you can be bothered finding second hand ones somewhere.

"All Garden Pro sheds and storage units feature the revolutionary SNAPTITE assembly system which drama"
    haha, expect drama!

  • Do the sheds come with a base?

Edit: Never mind, just saw the other comments; they don't.

  • make one yourself with a few sheets for the same price but decent.

    • Concrete could be the cheapest option. Think you could get away with 3-5cm depth. No foot traffic.

      • 5 cm with REO maybe

        • Yeah, probably need REO. Maybe some eneloops can substitute.

        • @zealmax: maybe baby, don't call me crazy

  • needed one and got one, the exact size i need. perfect

  • +1

I went to Bunnings at Stafford and they had these in the car park sale. They also had a 1.5m x 1.5 x 1.9 size for $139 which is what I ended up buying, down from ticket price of $189

    • Possible to post the receipt? Is it a Garden Pro too?1.5 x 1.5 is more mower-worthy.

      • +1

Nah this is a "Kamor" model Z151519 - no hits on Google or Bunning's own website but it looks like they sold them sometime last year according to some old catalogues. Happy to post a receipt if it helps.

  • Bought one, built one, and now it's full of stuff I don't want to look at from the other shed.

    • that's under my house for me :)

  • Any ideas when this price ends?

  • It is up to $149. Anyone have a receipt or screenshot? Bunnings said they'll still do it for $129 if I provide a copy.

    • They did it without a receipt/screenshot. Woo!
