  • Can you do a filter roast?

  • Our geisha roast is very suitable for drip filter brew :)

  • Our thanks for Mr Tony L for 1 kg purchase of Java Belawan Geisha with FREE 1.5 kg specialty single origin.

We have 8 kg left of Java Belawan Geisha. Thank you.

  • I dont understand, why does this coffee cost $90?

    • Geisha coffee is a premium heirloom coffee they cost much more than regular coffee and they only come in a very small quantity, every importers want them, that jacks the price up.

One variety of geisha normaly comes only in 15-30 kg bag. One kilogram raw green geisha especially from panama can cost $45-70.

Taste wise: its got a unique flavor, very distinguished, complex fruit and pleasant aftertaste. Not for everyone.

If you care more about cost and price please check out our website about our other amazing single origin coffees.
      Cheers

I don't support Indonesia as many rotten eggs have been thrown on our Australian face lately.

    • we appreciate your political view but i dont think this is a place to discuss this matter as this is a trading site. As far as we concern, we are promoting our beautiful coffee no matter where they come from. We believe There are many forums to express your kind of concern please feel free to express your comment there. Cheers

      • While I don't agree with donkeykong about this issue, I do think coffee is grown in places that are susceptible to questionable practices and discussion of them, and whether purchasing their product is tacitly supporting them, is perfectly valid.

        • The coffee we obtained here in Australia is sourced and purchased from Australian importer. A legit one of big importers in Australia.

We did not and do not buy directly from any country. If you or anyone has any problems with the quality and service of our product and company we welcome your comment here but political comment or view is a bit misplaced here. You can choose to purchase or not based on your political view, but commenting such view in a bargain market website is quite out of place and may create un necessary image in which it is unfair for our business as we solely sell quality coffee from anywhere in the world no matter what conflicts they may have. Some coffees came from 3 rd world countries with conflicts that may or may not affect our australian way or life direct and indirectly. This is not relevant to our product quality and service thus such comment is once again with all due respect is out of place.

This is the final reply from our business about this matter and we wont reply to any queries or comment other than our business product and service.

We hope and humbly ask our community for kind understanding upon this matter.

          Thank you

@sweetyarracoffee: Being purchased through a big importer is no guarantee of ethical origin. If you have customers concerned about these issues, and you want to keep the customers, you ought to be asking your distributor these same questions (and then they ask their suppliers).

We are talking ethics, rather than politics. It's not a question of do you vote conservative or liberally, but more - do you support capital punishment, child labour, child abuse, commodity funded wars, etc. These issues are raised in the marketing of diamonds, clothes and shoes - almost anything nowadays since almost every commodity is an international business, therefore the origins are harder to pin down.

Coffee is no different. The issue of capital punishment in Indonesia doesn't directly have an effect on the coffee supply from there (unless there is some weird reason coffee growers/sellers there want it), so perhaps in this case discussion of the issue is less warranted, but in some cases the sale of a commodity is very relevant to the unethical/criminal behaviour going on in the country of origin (herion from Afghanistan).

For a retailer to say 'we solely sell quality xxxxxx from anywhere in the world no matter what conflicts they may have' is a pretty rubbish attitude I reckon. It is your own comments that may have done more damage to your sales than any discussion on here. I would not buy from you just because of that (wouldn't've anyway as I roast my own).

        • @wfdTamar:
We sell quality and tasty coffee nothing else. Thanks for your concern. Indonesian coffee has been sold and used as blend ingredient anywhere in the world including Australia and local roasters still use them as we speak. And we dont see any problems related in quality or taste. Australia also has not issued any official embargo on Indonesian products so with these reasons, we dont see any problems in selling a quality Indonesian coffee.

Yes, we sell quality coffee from anywhere in the world no matter what conflicts they may have directly or indirectly affect Australian way of life, we stand to this statement because we are not just a "retailer" we have passion for coffee and we are a coffee roaster.

We see coffee as coffee, one of the most beautiful taste nature can give. We are not set to any left/right wing political belief, race or anything as long as the law in this country permits. This is our attitude. We provide 5 star services to our customer and great quality and tasting coffee. That is all we care.

If our customer has a political view related to one of our product, we are more than happy to offer other quality varieties as we don't only sell one particular coffee that has a conflict of interest. We have 8 different single origin coffees to choose from not to mention our blends. Bear in mind this is our first time selling Indonesian coffee and none of our blends are using Indonesian coffee in their ingredients. So your political view as well as others who share the same political view does not reflect our service and product quality as we are more than happy to offer other single origin coffees and we respect your choice if you choose not to purchase a coffee that we offer because of political view. However we still think such political comment is quite out of place in this website as they dont reflect our product quality and service. If you dont want to buy Indonesian coffee then just dont buy, promoting political value and hate in this website is we think, out of place. We do still apologise should you not happy with our reply. There is no ill intention whatsoever, just a mere explanation on our policy. We are selling legal product, permitted by Australian law.

And As for your information, our geisha coffee has sold out and our customer base has grown quite rapidly. This proves on the contrary of what you have suggested.

Thank you and good luck with your roasting. A fascinating hobby isnt it?
          cheers
