  • Which store(s)? Seems to be $199 on the website (tried all my local stores)

    • Seems like it's NSW only. I tried Vic and Qld postcodes and got $199 online. sorry

Wonder if they would price match NSW.

      • Bunnings never price matches. They gives all sorts of excuses.

        • Most of their lines are ONLY at bunnings, hence they can offer their useless price guarentee.

  • Dammit I bought that 26cc one at Masters for $99 last time.

    Anyone seen any in WA?

    • WA showing as $199 unfortunately.

  • Good price. Why is it so cheap? Are they clearing it out and bringing in a new model?

    • It's only a temporary price drop so unlikely that it's a superseded model.

For at home I highly recommend their battery operated one. So much easier then stuffing around mixing the oil, instant on. Quick to charge etc. Only lasts around 30mins though so if u need longer than that go petrol

Battery ones definitely have their place. Popular with the elderly who want something nice and light and easy to operate.

Personally I've gone 4 stroke for the hand-held variety. At not that much more than the 2 strokes it's pure joy to use. No dramas starting and very quiet. So good in fact I went the matching whipper snipper too.

  • Wonder if Bunnings in QLD will price match themselve/have the same deal? Keen to get one. Very good price!

    • The policy is "Bunnings' price guarantee applies to any cheaper price found on an online store or in a physical store in Australia. It applies where the other store's final price, inclusive of delivery, taxes, fees and charges, is lower than our price. "

I'm sure when people bring a web price they just price beat it without worrying about delivery costs etc.

  • So how can we show them that it's selling for 99 to price match
    when it shows 199 online.

    • change your location to a nsw postcode on the bunnings website?

    • When you're on the Bunnings site change your store location to a NSW one.

  • Looks like a jetpack, ready to blast off to Mars.

    • lol backwards

  • I did an online search and mid coast NSW stores show $199 but a search at Parramatta store gave the $99 price.

Bloody noisy things should be outlawed.
Use a friggen broom or rake for heaven's sake

So should be the lawn mowers, whipper snippers etc.

    • My Makita 4 stroke is quieter than my mower. And it does most of its work at idle.

I've noticed generally that the less you spend the louder they are.

The ozbargainers definitely fall into that category.

  • This blows

  • Definitely a Bunnings exclusive

The Ryobi website has a Bunnings ID number on their site
    http://ryobi.com.au/42cc-backpack-blower-rbl42bpn

Was going to set my store as a NSW one and then show it to Masters…..well that's not going to happen now

As mentioned by someone else above, unfortunately for us 'Oz Bargainers', Bunnings are now working with most manufacturers to provide them with a unique product that can only be found in Bunnings.

For example Ryobi will produce a blower and there could be 2 different model numbers for the same blower, even though they are identical in every way. One model is specifically sold in Bunnings stores and the other model is for sale everywhere else.

That way the Bunnings 'Price Guarantee' doesn't apply if you try and get them to match what you thought was an identical product from elsewhere. Even though their 'Price Guarantee' doesn't mention it, they'll stipulate that it must be the exact same model number, or at least that's what they've told me in the past http://www.bunnings.com.au/price-guarantee

      • My boss only told us yesterday that we could be flexible with price match requests.

  • Big NO to price match at Bunnings Bethania qld

Thanks OP, great post. Price matched no issues in Melbourne.

  • For those in SA - this bargain is available in Bunnings SA stores up to and including Monday 6 June (was advertised in the Adelaide Advertiser yesterday).
Just bought the last one from the Woodville store but rang Mile End and they have 8 left.
    Not sure about other stores.
