  • Tempting. Would be a good replacement for my old G510 my son ruined by pouring my unguarded can of Black Douglas into it. Stupid toddler…

isnt this keyboard older than the sun?

    • The G19 was released around mid 2009. This the G19s was released around May 2013.

    • My MS Sidewinder backlit keyboard is about 7 years old.

      Age is just a number!

    any point to a G19S over a G19?

    • Custom back lighting?

    • I looked into this also, from what i can gather from the Logitech forums there are only minimal differences
      - Advanced surface materials like Hydrophobic, Dual UV, and Fingerprint-resistant coatings
      - Improved anti-ghosting key registry

      I wouldn't recommend upgrading if you have a G19.

      • mmm, I have a G19 so I won't bother…..just glad its a more reasonable price then that $300~ mark logitech likes to advertise it…..

  • Im still using a G15 from 2009 and love it, Ive set up auto-run, great for Arma and DAYZ and anything that has lots of distance to cover on foot. just had a quick look around the net and cant find any new G15 for sale, might have to get a G19 next, they were $200+ when they 1st came out, way too much for a KB

For this amount of money, why not get one with mechanical keys? Particularly brown switch. They are stronger for gaming, your fingers are less tired during long sessions, and it doubles up as a very good keyboard for writing documents. It's possible to get a Logitech G710+ for about $120 or G910 for $150.

    • Could you let me know where to get the G710+ for $120? Can only see 140+ on the net. I've got a Blackwidow Ultimate but the loudness annoys me, and it's not as comfortable as my old G15

There is not much logic in that.

You are buying the G19s for the screen, I use my G19 to display literally everything I want to know, GPU temps/clock CPU temps/clock, memory usage, internet usage and so on.

A mechanical keyboard does not have a screen and is a completely different category.

You should have already decided what kind of keyboard you want.

  • You should probably stop biting your keyboard :3

  • I have a couple of G15's and a G19, they were expensive but worth the price, so I'm tempted to buy a couple of these considering the excellent price.

  • Would buy if it didn't need AC power…

    • I had a g19 - you can use dual usb instead of AC if you like.
The AC adapter is a 5v charger that converts to usb via a round tip adapter similar to an old nokia charger.
I plugged in using an old usb to round tip adapter that i had and it worked fine.

  • This is an awesome deal, considering the original $280 rrp.
I just ordered one to replace my old G19 which had an issue where it would drop off the pc and would require a restart to get working again.
Hopefully this issue has been resolved - apparently it was caused by lack of insulation causing shorts between the usb wires and the screen.

    • Unfortunately that's an issue with the G19's, I have the same problem with both of mine when running Win7 x64. Though outdated, I find the G15 my best keyboards by far.
