Good price. Entry level LA32B350. Nothing wrong with it at all.
Either this or a Palsonic with 3 year warranty and Full HD for the same price. Most folks would go with the Samsung (though it is just 1 year warranty).
I'm pretty sure Samsung are one of the good brands? I would definitely go for a 1 year warranty Samsung over a no name brand.
Absolutely, Samsung are #1 worldwide (sales wise) for both PDP and LCDs.
But, there is a certain percentage of failure rate between all units, and regardless of brand 3 years is 3 years, 1 year is 1 year.
have heard from someone who repairs LCD's that Samsung panels are poorly made and break down often… Personally, I'd prefer to pay a bit extra for a Sony or Panasonic…
@jv: Fail! since Samsung make Sony's panels!
@swimmingtoad: How do you know Samsung make Sony's panels? Is there a list on the internet that shows the makers of each companies panels?
768? not really a bargain but brand is good. You can get full 32" 1080 for $500
Isn't samsung a 3yr warranty?
Not any more, starting from the 'B' series onwards all Samsung units are 1 year warranty. I have a Samsung with 3 years warranty, but all newer ones are 1 year.
@cyssero, yeh i have the r series 40' with 3 years also, been flawless. Good deal on this one anyways, thumbs up +++
Very nice deal, it would be almost impossible to notice a difference between 1080p and 720p at 32".
It will look great.
If you sit close you'll notice (like if you want to use it as a PC monitor), but if ur on a couch a meter or two away you won't ;)
$597.00 not a bad price at all for that TV!
Great price. Bummer its only 2 x HDMI.
I'm thinking of buying a 32" LCD within the next week and was saw this deal today. Was wondering what people think of this Samsung deal compared to the 32" Sanyo that Dick Smith has on sale for $598?
Sanyo LCD32K30TD can be seen here on the DSE site - http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/4b0bde8206fea52…
Full specifications on the Sanyo can be seen here - http://www.sanyo.com.au/products/tvs-set-top-boxes/lcd-tvs/l…
I'm leaning towards the Sanyo on the specs even though the Samusng is a more reputable brand. The Sanyo has 3 HDMi ports, 178 degree viewing angle, 6.5ms response time, it's only on the contrast where i think the Samsung has it as it only has a 1100:1 contrast ratio, 11000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 500/cd brightness.
Also does Big W offer extended warranty becuase I would be getting an extra 2 years from Dick Smith if I buy the Sanyo? Cheers Benny
I've seen both in action, and i'ld defiantly recommend the Samsung! But its up to your opinion, compare the two in-store and make you decision.
So there's really no point in getting a 1080p 32" TV?
It gets all the same HD channels?
I figure why not get Full HD, if you're going to have the TV for 5yrs+. But if there's practically no difference, then maybe this is a good TV to get.
So only if you use it as a PC monitor, and sit close you will notice?
Nice, I remember when I was going to buy this TV for $1200!
FULL HD is always better, but if you plan to use the TV as a TV then its not really important on a 32"
At this price you can buy one and use it as a 2nd monitor for your computer. :) 15 months ago this (and most other 32 inch HD's (not full HD)) was selling at $1100 or more.
I saw this the other day when I was looking through the junk mail. It's a great deal in my opinion…. I wanted to keep it quiet
Why would you keep it quiet?
He wanted to buy them all!!! And then sell them .
It is bargain
