Champ, like I said, " Those who have smart minds and true hearts know the goodness, honesty and integrity that the good ones hold (You)"

      Keep it real TA :D

    • +1

Take it easy man, this is the internet. Deep inside everyone knew orders would be cancelled anyways.

Do not take any of these bull$hit seriously.

    • All good man!

    • +1

      Hi TA,

We are all gratefull for your contribution to OzB community. Don't let yourself down because of those small minded minority. I'm surprised that Scotty hasn't made you a Mod already.

Keep it up, Cảm ơn bro.

TA - Thanks for all you do for this community. I appreciate your input.
This was destined to be cancelled and I can't understand how people can blame you for that!

    • +2

TA, don't stress out. The deal is down the toilet, but don't worry, you're a champ not a party pooper…

Pricing errors are never fun when they get canned. Just wish woolies could put on their big boy pants and honour their doo-doo.

No one should poo-poo your efforts.

    • +1

      All good mate!!!

Either way it was gonna be cancelled…

Cheer up and let's go have lunch in Bankstown :)

    • +1

We still love you, TA. Keep up the good work

    • Have a snickers dude.:)

    • +1

nothing to worry TA, we all know you are all for OZB. Keep the usual bargains coming mate.

    • +2

I'm sure everyone who was initially angry about not getting the deal have clam down now. Toilet paper is not worth making someone feel terrible over, no matter how much or how cheap!

    • +2

'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
I shake it off, I shake it off

ok, maybe a bit out of context, but you get the idea… :)

    • +2

I don't think you should waste another minute worrying about it TA, you seem like a really lovely guy and as they say, today's news is tomorrow's fish and chip wrapper (or toilet paper if you are desperate)!! :)

    • +1

Oh please TA, even if you manage to inadvertently do this another 20 times it wouldn't be a problem. You have already made yourself a core and crucial aspect of Ozbargain.

The displeasure coming from most of these whingers is insignificant. If they left Ozbargain nothing would change. If you left because of your self crucifixion we would all be much poorer as a result. Don't sell yourself short. Will always be looking forward to your many contributions.

Until they post deals as good as yours or this, tell those who are taking it personally to go shove it.

    • +1

pretty sure it was gonna happen sooner or later. i cant imagine them making any money on this..

    • Sorry to hear that its taken such a big toll on you today. In the whole scheme of life, hopefully people can remember that we are talking about toilet paper here, especially when they think of writing a hateful message. I absolutely love what you do for this community and I hope you can keep up what you do and keep more great deals coming, because you have already changed my life with some of the deals you have posted. Seriously with 12000 clicks, it is unlikely that 12000 x 300 toilet rolls (seriously is that 3,600,000??!!!) would get fulfilled anyway and its easy to blame someone. If anything we should blame Woolies for allowing the vouchers to be used and then cancelling the orders.

    • I understood the context/intent and find it confusing how such a large population read into the message as one of deceit. TA for treasurer!

    • +1

      TA rocks. End of story.

    • +1

It'a ok TA, dont listen to the haters. I believe those of us who are on here happen. appreciate all that you do, the deals and the entertainment.

It would've made little difference if you went on chat or not so please dont take it too heart. As some asses on here just don't realise that it's not there right to profit from an price error!

"I've since called the online team at Woolworths trying to get details…"

"They questioned why I needed to know…"

I question why you needed to know as well, and why you contacted them again mentioning OzBargain. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't actually work for OzBargain in any official capacity?

Please allow me to give you some well-intentioned and frank advice TA. Don't ever contact Woolworths (or any other retailer) and mention OzBargain ever again. There's no logical reason for you to do so, and the potential for harm is great. Of course in any given situation you have a right to seek acknowledgement that your own order will be honoured, but why take it upon yourself to 'seek acknowledgement' that other peoples' orders will be honoured, on their behalf (let alone taking the bizarre step of 'seeking acknowledgement' that everyone on OzBargain's orders will be honoured)? It makes no sense.

I suppose this comment will get 'negged to the crap-house', but I don't actually care about negs. I was somewhat alarmed to read that you've contacted Woolies again and asked them specifically about OzBargain again, so to me it seems that someone needs to advise you to stop doing that.

Lastly, thank you for your extensive past contributions to this website; by way of the sheer magnitude of them, they more than make up for this single screw-up.

    Not a deal, cancelled ….
    Save my vote for this..

    • Damn, wish I'd done the same!

  • +5

Ordered 38 packs for pick up.
    Got a cancellation email.
Called Woolworths Online and got the order reinstated somehow.
Got an Out Of Stock email.
Called the specific store (Broadmeadows) and was informed that all stores (across Australia) have been told by management not to fulfill any online orders for Quilton toilet tissue, even though there is stock.
Called Woolworths Online, who confirmed that all order nationwide are cancelled. Walk-in customers can still buy 3 packs for $9.99 as per catalogue promotion, up to a limit of 6 per person.

    • Thanks for the info

    • interesting, is that only if the order is only toilet paper or any orders with toilet paper.

I wonder how many non-ozbargain orders will get cancelled.

      • +1

I think order with no more than 6 pack of TO should still be honoured

    • "told by management not to fulfill any online orders for Quilton toilet tissue"

What about all the regular non-OzBargainers that want to buy poop-paper with their other groceries for delivery?
Also its still available for sale online.
      Even Woollies is overreacting.

    • I'm not sure whether they are allowed to fulfill orders with fewer than 6 packs, and/or containing other items. My order was 38 packs of toilet paper and nothing else. I assume that if you now order 6 packs online they will fulfill that order, since they've changed the website to no longer allow stacked coupon codes. It's still a reasonable price, just not as good as 8 cents a roll.

  • Just on shopping for groceries online generally with Woolworths and Coles, are the prices the same as in store or is there a mark up?

    • They must be same and that what they advertise.

    • +1

I think Coles has always been mostly same price online.
Woolies was about on average 7% higher online I think, until maybe the last month. They now advertise same price online as instores, so hopefully it's permanent.

      • +2

no both had mark-ups, now woolies is meant to be same online as in-store, whilst coles is still generally more expensive online (except for specials and everyday low prices)

        • +1

Yes, for certain products Coles still marks the price up by up to 20% for online orders (rolled oats, for example). But I reckon this will change pretty soon, as by now Woolies must be winning the majority of market-share re online orders/deliveries, what with all the codes they issue (and the odd epic bit of code-stacking they allow), and the guaranteed same price as in-store. The only reason I do all of my online shopping at Woolies, is the codes. I hope they keep issuing them!

  • +1

Well you can kiss my curvy butt goooodbye Woolies!
    Coles is closer anyway!

    • removed

    • Awww, don't hate on Woolies, they're pretty good with their codes/ the odd bit of stacking they do allow (etc.). It seems a bit like 'looking a gift-horse in the mouth' to blame Woolies/harsh them out publicly, just because they didn't (couldn't?) crash through with thousands of orders for usually exy bog-rolls for 8 cents a roll.

  • Finally the moment has come:

our Woolworths Online order has been cancelled.

    Your Order Number: 12436NNNNN
    Delivery time: 2/05/2015 12:00 PM - 2/05/2015 2:00 PM

We look forward to seeing you online again soon,

    Your Woolworths Online Team

Cheer up, there's plenty of TP in the sea

      • ;P

Dunno why this doesnae already have 10 pozzes; hilarious, hombre!

  • Order just cancelled, placed it this morning at 5am for delivery on Saturday. Does anyone know how they do the refunds? Paid by cc.

    • +1

" Does anyone know how they do the refunds?"

The credit will go back onto your card Nachos, usually within 24 hours. It's only a problem if you use a gift-card. I'd actually advise against paying with a GC when making an order for which there is a foreseeable chance of cancellation.

      • Awesome! Thanks for the clarification :)

  • cancelling orders.

  • +10
    • so you got it. How many did you manage to get?

      • +2

16, I also have an order for 38 for delivery.. which I anticipate will be cancelled

        • I hope my order at 8pm tonight would be honoured. I got the confirmation and yet cancellation email

        • Yep I am still waiting for my email to cancel my order this morning (approx. 8am)…..hoping they come…though doubting they will….

      • I placed 2 orders and first one got cancelled. The second order was delivered and I got all my 36 pack gold TP. Dunno why they canned the first one, as I only ordered 12 packs of TP. I guessed it has to do with delivery time, they can't take bulk orders and delivered it early in the morning.

        • Picture proof? Mostly for the laughs

        • I ordered at 4 am and i was also surprised they honoured it when i opened the door for the delivery guy, but i also ordered other toiletries and paid a reasonable price. I don't i need to take a photo just to prove "Yes, I finally got some TP to wipe ….". Considering others who got their order cancelled, i dont think it is fun to share a photo like that.

        • @Freakycat:

"… i dont think it is fun to share a photo like that."

LOLOL, of course you're right you don't need to prove anything to anyone, but I personally really enjoy the pics OzBargainers post of their 'epic scores'. I'd love to see your 'tower de papier toilette' as some cunning linguist above put it! (and I had two, erm, 'rather large' orders cancelled).

I dare you to spell out "OzB" with your 36 packs, and post a pic for our enjoyment! I bet you all those who had orders cancelled would actually get a real rise out of it (not to mention the OPs), knowing that at least some OzBers scored on the deal.

    • Can you upload a receipt please?

    • can I come over and use your toilet?

      • +6

        BYO toilet paper.

      • +3

No, but I did find poo in the backyard yesterday. Complete mystery considering I don't own a dog. Are you ready to confess?

        • Chuckle, more 'toilet humour' gold… I've now realised that the main reason I come on the site these days is for the subtle/clever/dark/just-plain-slap-stick humour. And the odd bit of social commentary/dialogue; but mostly the humour.

  • +5

For all cancelled orders, you will get a refund. All woolworths have done is charged your card. They will drop the charge and money will be returned to your account. Should take 24 to 48 hours.

  • booo, i was gonna have a toilet tissue fight party: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFuI4s4zTnY

  • so if my order not being cancelled at all, can those store managers cancelled my order on spot while picking up and refuse to hand me the order?

    • They did with my coke. The guy actually called up and then said yep it's now cancelled! I had to really kick up a fuss on Facebook and on heir customer service. Best they can do was give me $20 store credit to say sorry.

  • +2

    Still haven't received a cancellation! Here's to hoping :)

    • me too! :)

      • aaaaaaaaaaand it's cancelled! haha. Good luck to you!

        • No email yet..perhaps tomorrow. I chose delivery so no chance it will happen lol

        • @Tseng: I chose delivery as well! Hope you get yours :)

  • Still haven't received cancellation email. I ordered other things, not just tp, and my payment was over $30. Hope they won't cancel.

  • +1

Those we went to pick up and get told by the manager it was cancelled and you did not receive cancellation email before hand. Make a real complaint on Facebook or call up their customer service saying you wasted your time to go pick up. Chances are they will compensate you for the trouble. I got $20 voucher.

  • It looks like everyone's orders are cancelled even if you didn't get an email, except for the lucky few that got in before Woollies got organised.
Hard to know whether to call and ask or not.

    • +3

My order hasn't been (yet?), the order is due for delivery late tomorrow night, it wasn't just for toilet paper and I paid for delivery. I'll be peeved if they cancel the whole order as I still want the other stuff. Will see what happens.

  • -1

Cancelled this morning via email @7:53am. Pretty sure we had a contract that they should fulfill. Probably hidden in the T's & C's somewhere that they can cancel orders. No faith in companies that act this way, mistake or not.

    • +2

      3 words: Invitation to treat.

      • Agreed but is the consideration not the charge to my CC?

        • To be honest, I actually don't remember. Dropped LLB after studying Contracts but woah that was 4 years ago

  • from online rep

The order is been cancelled as there was a price discrepancy for the products. The actual offer is that you can order 3 for $10 which is the price updated on the catalogue , however it was reflecting as $1.93 each , so that may not be honored as there was an issue with the product .

  • Well i rang up online service and confirmed my order is still valid no cancellation, and the lady said i don't need to call the shop to confirm, just go and pickup, hope no issue

  • I think it's best to close this thread, it's becoming way to much, As for TA, great work, all you should have known this deal would most likely be canceled.

  • +3

    Ode To Quiltons
From wherest came that dagger through this fragile heart of mine.
A mere Half and one hour to fulfilleth thine families desires for the wiping paper, and Wooldragons you faildeth me, sad am I, to sit upon my refunded paper instead forevermore.
(To anyone that can read, Sorry for that)

  • Can confirm my order that was not cancelled was there and they just gave me 16 packs into a trolley. I went to a Woolworths in Thornlie, WA 38 one was cancelled, same store. Pick was meant to be 4 hours later.

  • Other people have mentioned live chat but I can't seem to find it on the Woolworths website, only phone numbers or emails. What am I missing?

    • +1

down the bottom of the page, left corner

      • Strange, it doesn't show up for me. I've tried a few different browsers and there's nothing at the bottom left except for links to facebook, twitter etc

        • +1

it comes and goes depending upon availability of live chat staff

        • @tonester: Thanks tonester

  • +3

    Received a text message:

Hello, Thanks for placing your order with Woolworths Online. Unfortunately, we are not able supply your order in this instance due to availability. We have cancelled your order and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please refer to the T&Cs on our website point 14. An email will be sent out shortly to you to confirm this. Thanks.

    • +1

Interesting that they are using the availability of stock as the reason in the text, what if I walked into the store and picked up my 16+38 packets. haha

disclaimer: I'm not upset about my order being cancelled at all, I do however wish they were more explanatory in how and when they intend to refund me.

      • I just got this text too which I think is our other order in my brother's name for 38 packs. I collected 16 just before and there was tonnes of stock.

      • Yeah I got that too. When I called them before to see how they were refunding my payment they told me that it was because the codes used were not compatible with the website and had nothing to do with stock itself and we can still order the stock as it is.

  • Used online chat… refund to credit card used in 3-5 business days.

    • Do you mean email? I can't find an online chat?

    • "… in 3-5 business days."

I've frequently ordered stuff from WOW that's ended up being out of stock b-dude (ridiculously-priced specials usually), and every time the refund has come through in less than 24 hours; I'd be surprised if you have to wait 3-5 days (unless maybe your bank is particularly crap at processing CC refunds?).

  • Yep - ordered this morning and just received the cancellation txt. Pity only have a few packs left from the previous deal. :)

  • BAD NEWS! just received an SMS, ORDER CANCELLED !!! Not happy, no cheap toilet paper now, has to pay $10 for 3 which = 41c/roll, thats a lot more !!!

  • I guess some people were lucky and slipped through the cracks!! dam…

  • +3

NOTE: Woolworths staff NOT permitted to read this!

NOTE 2: Tonester you might add the following point in the Post body about the 40% beauty codes etc. still maybe being honored on many other ordered products.

SILVER LINING. Here's some good news.
Wooldragons cancelled my ordered 20x Quiltons 8-packs. BUT they didn't cancel anything else.
So as I ordered maybe $80 worth of Toothpaste, 2in1 shampoo/cond, Listerine etc that all still got 40% off plus $10 off order total, free delivery, plus 7.5% off the rest with groupon eGiftcard.

    Got you Woolies :)

Added: See my next post below as Ive been refunded 24c p/roll, but paid about 8c p/roll.

  • Order placed last night and cancelled this afternoon.

Reason was it's limited to 6 per person. Told them the website didn't say that and got linked to a section in the terms and conditions stating they can change order limits within a reasonable time frame.

  • +24

Thanks tonester, got my order of 36 x 8 (288). They actually put the whole thing in a separate cage for me.

    Pic of my haul

    • Haha nice one!

But damn I'd be so embarrassed walking down the street with a trolley full of toilet paper. People would think I have some serious bowel issues or that I only leave the house once on a yearly basis lol

    • LMAO I'm glad I didn't order this. I'd be murdered at home.
