1 Year Membership to Last Minute Travel Club (Lmtclub.com) for Free - Normally USD $50

2280
JCCBR2013

Similar to this deal which is no longer valid.

Last Minute Travel Club offer great deals for hotel, flight, car and attraction bookings. A year subscription is US$50 and there haven't been free subscription codes since mid March.

I am taking some well-deserved holidays in May, OzBargain style. Got my $121 Bali return tickets, my $800 LA return tickets, my accommodation in Bali with some referral credit and 15% discount from Groupon as well as some activities over there. The US part of the holidays was lacking of any discounts, but now, for example, my car rental booked with LMT is significantly cheaper than doing it on Expedia, and it includes insurance (US$160 in LMT with insurance, compared to US$256 with no insurance at Expedia). I could only find Universal Studios tickets with US$7 off at most. LMT has them with US$16 off and if you use their phone app it has them with $19 off!!!

Hotels are cheap as well, however, I will be using Webjet's ING voucher for that, hehe.

Guys, if you are planning to go to the US in the next year, take advantage of this as it is free and, as you can see in other posts here in OzBargain, this is a really good site to be subscribed to, specially if it is for free!!!!

It doesn't show an expiration date, so I would try to subscribe ASAP.

Can vouch for this. They have cheap attraction tickets.

    For LA:

    Official Site LMT Undercover Tourist
    Universal Studios LA
    General Admission $90 $78.92 $86.95
    VIP $299 $272.51 $318.95
    Go LA Card
    1 Day $70 $60.03 $64.95
    Go LA 2 Days $115.99 $99.49 $102.95
    3 Day $179.99 $171.55 $179.95

The hotel prices were hit and miss (hotelscombined tended to be cheaper) however I did book 1 hotel which was far cheaper than any other site. It probably depends on the area.

Just be aware as an American site prices are in USD and taxes are tagged on at the end, which always seems a tad deceptive as an Aussie!
I had a recent gripe with them too. Booked a hotel on the Gold Coast on the day, and didn't realise their date system doesn't calibrate time zones so I mistakenly booked the PREVIOUS day. The hotel was very relaxed about it and just asked me to get LMTC to send an updated itinerary. LMTC customer service was appalling, and it took hours of back and forth with several people there, me and the hotel to get sorted, all the time blaming me and talking about extra fees. An absolute nightmare.

  • Cheers OP. Going to the States in a few months, haven't booked anything yet so this has come along just in time!

Can we extend a previous membership? Or need to sign a new one?

    • +2

I couldn't find anywhere to extend my previous membership, so I've signed up a new one.

My old membership started 22/10/14, and will expire 1/1/16.

I was hoping the new code would give me membership till 1/1/17, but unfortunately it will expire 29/4/16 (1 year from today).

I joined last year and found that Cheaptickets, HotelClub or Expedia (holiday packages) was always cheaper whenever I booked domestic or international.

    • Agoda is cheaper in most cases then Cheaptickets, HotelClub or Expedia (holiday packages) when I booked holidays last year.

      • +2

Expedia will price match Agoda (or anyone that they can verify) and give you a $50 voucher.

    • I got some great deals for Canada over the Christmas period, so you really just have to check and see.

Obviously being US based, you would expect them to have deals mostly for the North America region.

CityPASS Southern California is much better value if you are looking for tickets to LA theme parks.

USD $339 for Adults. Includes 3 day hopper pass to Disneyland and Calfornia Adventure Park (includes Magic Morning pass), Universal Studios and Sea World San Diego.

Also exclusive add-ons for San Diego Zoo and Legoland (Spring 2015)

    http://www.citypass.com/southern-california

I am going to States next month (YAY!!!).

I found apartments via Airbnb were much cheaper, especially in hot spots like Hollywood and Manhattan.

    • I agree but Citypass is dropping Universal Studios after June 2. LEGOLAND is replacing Universal for Citypasses bought on June 3 or after. Bummer as I am travelling after that and now I will have to buy separate Universal tickets.

      • Yes you are right. Spring cut off is June 2. I'm lucky though. I will be in LA in May. Thank God for that!

  • Randomly: [email protected] - "Your request cannot be processed"

    [email protected] = Success!

Can anyone shed some light on to why this is? Has happened before and am curious.

Web Developers suck at attempting email address validation.

I just compared a hotel in Bali by searching in LMT and Expedia and Agoda. LMT seemed the most expensive. So be careful people.

can anyone vouch for this website? I am planning a trip to the US in July and if i can save $$ all good.. But i'm always sceptic to websites that i don't know

    • +1

C'mon, I know your new here but surely you understand that reading comments above yours is important before posting your own. neil (OzBargain 2IC) vouched for this in the second comment on this page.

Plus the OP mentioned in his post:

as you can see in other posts here in OzBargain, this is a really good site to be subscribed to

Plus if you bothered going through to the other deal linked to by the OP you'd realise how many people have already vouched for it.

  • Where did you get your "$800 LA return tickets" and from which city? I'm after some

  • +1

@ycon: Oh, that was a previous AIr New Zealand deal (I was just doing a recap of all the deals I got from OzBargain for my cheap holidays, hehe). I think they have it back on now. You use the code USA300 when booking. Hope it helps.

  • Has anyone looked at the terms and conditions. To unsubscribe it is a very painful process

  • You have to write to them 30 days in advanced. And lot more work

  • Is this only for US holiday trips and not other countries?

These are the terms and conditions I agreed to on sign up.

        ^This

Not too concerned. They don't have any payment details. Unless I renew just likely to let it lapse.

Yes they can send a collection agency after you, but as if they're going to bother for a $50 membership fee.

        d. Collections of Fees by Third Party Agencies. LastMinuteTravel Club reserves the right, in its sole discretion, at any time during the Membership contract to sell or assign any payments due from you to LastMinuteTravel Club to a third party for collection. These payments include, but are not limited to, Membership Fees, Renewal Fees, optional program, product and/or service fees as well as any other fees.

  • i signed up last year using some free code

    Membership Type: Standard
    Registration Date: Aug 8, 2014

there doesn't seem to be an expiry date.. but i assumed it's only 1 year?

  • We were unable to perform your request?

    • That's weird, I just tried the code again with a dummy email account and it worked. It even logged me in automatically.

    • Register with your email address, not with Facebook connect. I tried both and only got the error message with Facebook.

  • Also got the same "We were unable to perform your request"

    • Register with your email address, not with Facebook connect. I tried both and only got the error message with Facebook.

  • It was to do with my email address having a "-" before the "@" symbol. bloody happens all the time

Hey OP thanks heaps, am looking to do a cruise 2016…. April 2016 , 14 Nights Transatlantic Cruise from Santos (Sao Paulo) to Barcelona for only US$1,152.00 … sounds good! Any old-hands here care to share their experience/ knowledge what Cruise Companies are good, what ones to avoid? Any hassles for Australians booking on US sites? cheers

  • Have no plans for USA in the next year but, hey, who knows? Signed up anyway.

  • are the flight prices departing from australia in AUD or usd ?

  • I'm getting a message saying "we were unable to perform your request"…

    • Ok can't register using Facebook…

    • Its working for me, I just registered using the code.
Although the page did freeze for me after the confirmation page when I applied code. But, close it and go into home page. It works

  • hi all, does this site charge in USD or AUD? their currency symbol is simply "$". I was looking at hotel prices and it's ridiculously cheap… too good to be true. If I assume they charge in USD and convert to AUD using current exchange rates, the price is identical to the one found on Trivago… Could someone please confirm? Thanks.

Edit: scrolled up to this and it appears to be USD… https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/192193#comment-2715694
