The D3300 is one of the best DSLR around for beginners and with the 15% off camera sale at jb hifi and the $50 cash back from Nikon you can pick one up for only $368.40 (Body Only) Cheapest i've ever seen. They are usually around $500. Hurry cos the 15% cameras deal ends on the 22nd of April!

  Stretching it a bit with the "The D3300 is one of the best DSLR around" comment? I'd agree that in the 'body under $500' price range it is one of the best.

  I currently use a D90….Would the lenses be able to fit straight onto this, and would it be a good upgrade?

    D3XXX or D5xxx only accept AF-S lens (with built in motor). If I were you, I'll go for D7xxx.
