(I believe Section 23, subsection 12a, part VI of the Australia Constitution explicitly forbids "…the discountation of rugs or other fibre-based floor covering unless it's part of a closing down sale").

It IS an ok deal, the comparison prices are much higher, even with the 60% off.
Not sure how rug companies get away with this always on sale stuff, I thought there were rules against that… apparently shops don't have to have ever offered the product at the rrp price.

I had another look for you and found that they have a similar rug in a smaller size.
Comparing Like for like they have a 200 x 290cm rug at $ 231.00 ($ 39.828 per meter square) - they call this 200cm x 290cm Frieze Rug
