Coles Rhodes NSW - Easter Stuff Clearance $0.25 for Humpty Egg with Choc Beanies

660

Was at Coles Rhodes and saw that most of their easter stuff is on clearance for 25c.

That includes Their cadbury bunnies and a lot of other stuff. They have heaps of the Red Tulip Humpty Dumpty Eggs with Chocolate Beanies (AKA Smarties) still left as of about 1pm today.

Have checked other coles and they aren't the same price. Clearance price for the Humpty eggs is still $1.75 at Coles Gladesville.

Darn it JV, you missed your chance to make a posworthy comment:

Are these caged easter eggs or free range eggs?

  • That's a great price - I just came back from Target and they were selling them for $1 and I thought that was a good price!

Thanks OP, Next year's Easter shopping sorted :D

Should note that almost all of the stuff have expiry for Aug and some for end of 2015.

My best pick were those huge Kinder Surprise eggs. They were going for $1 at Carlingford.
Also those fluffy coloured Easter Egg carry bags with the bunny on front for $1 are really good as well. Great as a unique gift bag.

Can't work out why the Chocolatier egg pack was so expensive at $20. Bought one for $2 to try and they taste like any generic branded easter egg.

As for other stock, there was Humpty dumpty eggs, Cadbury gift packs, Lindt Farm and Lindt Family packs, Ceramic cup pack (DC comics and One direction), Avengers egg cups etc etc.

Nice find Tony..ok people what we need is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in your area and report back with stock levels.

Cheap yeah, but what everyone has missed is that it's Red Tulip. The "new" tasting Red Tulip, which isn't a patch on the old. I used to hang out for Easter for the Red Tulip, but now it tastes like crayons and sugar. A real pity.

Mmm, crayons and sugar. The taste of childhood.

Coles Subiaco WA also has some clearance easter eggs. The same humpty eggs as well as Cadbury rabbits.

    • Thanks Dave.

Red Tulip is not what is used to me . Taste's awful these days

Put in freezer and give em out next year

Totes understatement. Maybe it now comes from the Cadbury factory that they set up in China. If one wants to, then check out Dr. Google and see the results involving the " new" Red Tulip

Ugh, no, the new Red Tulip is not worth even 25c.

Red Tulip used to be a quality brand for Easter. Now it's the worst tasting lowest quality brown confectionery - I won't even dignify it with the name "chocolate" - that's so bad I wouldn't eat it even if it were free.

Cadburys destroyed the Red Tulip brand in an attempt to cut corners and make bigger profits. Shame on them. And zero thumbs for Red Tulip. I'd rather eat dog turds than the brown crayon mess that bears the name Red Tulip.

    • lolll, just so you know, the rest of their easter stuff is on special too, not just red tulip. I just took a photo of the Humptys coz there was so many left. Maybe theres so many left coz they suck, but I don't know, haven't tasted yet.

  • Noticed a heap of these at Target or Coles in Canberra when I was there a few days ago, fairly serious oversupply problem on this product methinks. Humpty used to be THE egg to get when I was a kids, times must have changed (along with the taste apparantly)

  • Coles in Maylands (WA) has these out for 75c as well as Cadbury 'milk carton' popping chocolate for $2 (240gram) and cadbury 80gram bunnies for 75c. Bunch of other stuff too.

    • Ahh Maylands!

You know that seven storey eyesore that straddles Peninsula Rd and Kirkham Hill Tce?
I used to call that hell home.

  • rhodes paved with chocolate :D

  • Humpty Dumpty eggs, Coles Rhodes are running low, Coles Leichhardt have them for 50c, Coles Westfield Burwood have them for 80c.
