Just something to note about these frozen dessert makers.
They can't accept ice and the fruits need to be partially defrosted before inserting.

No these are actually really really good! I got one as a present, thought it would be rubbish and then used it and loved it! I use it al the time, the results are pretty unbelievable. You completely freeze the fruit, as hard as it can be and then just chuck it in and it comes out smooth and creamy. It's easy to clean too. I would highly recommend one of these.
