  • Price … Title …

TV Box would be reduced to $385
    Annual subscription is $99.

No idea what's actually included, as half the pages fail (including the channels list)

Any credible sources of review ?

        • Love this dude ahahah

    No channel list …

Maige TV HD is specifically tailored for overseas Chinese, but as the channel list is growing constantly it suits people from various regions. The current list contains channels from China, HK, Taiwan, Macau, Japan, Korea, USA and UK

Is this channel streaming legal? esp the sport channels?

    • +1

I'd like to know that too…

They seem very expensive for a TV Box. what sort of hardware do they have in them? is it a SOC or a full blown computer?

    • +1

Particularly when there are similar units available on ebay for around $60 delivered, loaded with XBMC/Kodi and complete with remote. A Raspberry Pi would be quite capable of running as a TV Box if appropriately configured. Unless this has a legitimate source of licensed content to justify the subscription fee, it seems exorbitantly priced for what it is…

      • It's probabaly a realtek 1195

  • +1

How legitimate are the source of those channels?

  • So, how many of these channels are in English? How many are just asian shows? Do they have Chinese subtitles and if so, are they hard coded?

  • expired ?

Warning: Coupon is either invalid, expired or reached it's usage limit!

cheap android box streaming pirated television, for 400 dollars? not really a bargain especially when the streams can be cut off at any time leaving you high and dry with no pictures.

this is similar to buying the old pirated austar/foxtel cards, except you get a box with this.

    anywaaaay… heres the channel listing

I've been using this for a year now, has 3 main sections

    1. for all the American/chinese/jap/korean tv series. e.g House of cards, Game of thrones, etc etc. This is all "on demand" so you can watch when you want. It pretty much is available to watch a day or so after it actually comes out in America. Similar to Netflix. No need to really torrent anymore

    2. Section for Live TV. has probably 500 or so channels. I bought this for parents, but they found it too hard to use. So i use it myself. And I'm addicted to watching all the American channels. Also you can replay whatever was shown live for up to 7 days back. There are heaps of Soccor channel, NBA tv live (canada) is dedicated, ESPN, HBO all the new channels, BBC etc etc

    3. Similar to section 1, but its Movies on demand. Probably about 4000 movies on there. Pretty much whatever comes out on torrents will be available to stream from here. Only thing is the foreign movies (frech, italian, jap, etc) you can't really watch because there is no english subtitles (only chinese subtitles - as you'd expect because this is for the chinese customer)

Quality is HD, you need at least 2000-3000kb/s to run smooth.

I'd say its definitely worth the money even if you watch on English (american) channels

  • Where is the channel list?
Many of these boxes are targeted for cn users and such.
As a primarily English TV fan, I wouldn't want to commit without knowing whats available to me.
Can you provide a list of channels and languages please.

The biggest problem with maige TV is they shut off the communication between the customers and the support channel. They used to have an offical forum where people can raise their issues and they could be resolved timely. But now the forum is closed, and the moderator of the new forum will delete the messages you posted if they dont like it to be seen without any reasons.

There is no more interactions between other users and the company now, which I think is sux.

Price on maigetv.com is better. I purchased mine from them, arrived in 4 days via DHL
Best tv box ever seem, no regret at all.

    • maigetv.com has it on sale now for A$418.02, so this deal is still cheaper.

      • USD$319… where does 418.02 come from?

        • You select can the Currency at the top of the page. It's US$319 or A$419.36 today using their own conversion.

Even using XE.com's rate US$319 is US$410.53, so this deal is still better currently.

  • I think this box is going to be very similar to the other pirate boxes out there….looks like things are happening in the states; I don't think I would invest in a new box now….i'll just stick to using the old one and wait and see.

    http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20150319005733/en/DISH…

I hadn't heard of Dish before, I wiki the company and it looks like its similar to Foxtel.

    • TVpad operates differently although all of them are almost illegal if access outside China.

TVpad run their own servers in US and that is the problem.

  • subscription $82/year is a down for me :(

    • -1

$82/year vs $300/year for Foxtel basic?

      • you compare legal vs pirate??? you can always use kodi for free

        • -1

Not much different to using Hulu, US Netflix, etc via a VPN. Those are all paid services that are technically not legal to watch here.

        • @petestrash: they are legal to watch here. maybe a breach of terms and conditions but thats ALL

what this person is selling is the same as buying a pirate foxtel card…. he is selling re-streams of pirated pay tv!

          100% illegal

        • -2

@ShinjukuJR: I would think legally it would make no difference. US Netflix do not have the rights to broadcast shows to Australian users, this in essence is no different to maigeTV not having the rights to broadcast their shows to Australian users. The difference is that it is known that US Netflix do pay a content royalty for their US customers, whereas it is not certain that MaigeTV do the Same for their Chinese users…

        • @petestrash: LOL

Maige are streaming Sky Sports etc, you think they have a license for that at all? THEY DO NOT

in the US movie companies are taking these gooses to court TVpad etc

this is an illegal pirated service, which is why the channel listing was removed from the website

  • the coupon is not working?

  • kinda interested in this, what are some other alternatives on ebay though?
