I fail to see how it's a dessert maker, good luck getting a smoothie or soft serve out of that without doing multiple (messy) passes. Look at the grating/shredding attachments provided and buy a blender if you want to blend things.
It's more of a glorified grater if you're too lazy to do it manually.
