Myer VUE 'Ultimate Chefs Collection' 6 Piece Induction Cookware Set $169 (RRP $589)

90

It includes 5 pots and pans and a steamer adaptor thing. Three of them are triple coated (what I wanted) with steel handles (so that I can put them in the oven if needed).
Other two pots are stainless steel. All with glass lids. They all have induction bottom (thick). Seems pretty good to me!

There were a few left in Chatswood (NSW) Myers as of 5:30pm tonight.

Contents:
1 x 20cm/3.7L Tri-ply saucepan with glass lid
1 x 24cm/7.2L Tri-ply stockpot with glass lid
1 x Stainless Steel Universal Steamer without lid
1 x 26cm Hard Anodised Aluminium non-stick frypan
1 x 30cm/3.7L Hard Anodised Aluminium non-stick saute pan with glass lid
1 x 16cm/1.6L Hard Anodised Aluminium non-stick milk pan with 2 spouts

      • I didn't know you could get aluminium to work on an induction cooktop, however I was reading the paper and Big W have the Michelle Bridges Pressure Cooker on sale for 40 buck and the website says it's aluminium encapsulated in stainless steel. Either way they are sold out which sucks because the other PC on sale is the Ronsin one which is non stick which I would rather not have

After two non-stick Scanpans basically disintegrated and some of the bits ended up in the food, I am never, ever buying non-stick again. Some stainless steel pans are just as easy to clean as non-stick.

    • Where did you buy them from? Sounds counterfeit possibly, Scanpan are quite good.

      • I have a few Scanpan from a few years ago. The non stick does not work, it is just an anodised type finish, maybe a little better than nothing but not worth it.

I find the best to be Tefal frypans, cheap and good.

      • Hi, they were real Scanpans and we returned them. Apparently they had a 'bad batch'. It's not the cost, it's that we were eating the coating as it was literally falling off. If you overheat them they don't like it, but who never over-heats a pan? Now using good stainless steel pans that basically clean with only a bit more than a wipe. Never buying non-stick again.

    • All the Scan-Pan's I've had were terrible. I would recommend this the Pete Even branded Baccara - they were fantastic and are properly non-stick and easy to clean: http://www.baccarat.com.au/fryware/frypans/pete-evans-frypan…

      A bit pricey though.
