Thought real ozbargainers would buy theirs from Aldi.

    • Unfortunately Aldi doesn't sell skis.

I hope their service has changed since 2013…I was Thredbo staff, and these guys gave me very rubbish service (no help whatsoever) on my damaged skis that needed servicing.

If that's how they treat staff, I'd hate to see how they treat guests.

But like I said, I hope their service is better now. Might explain the sale though.

  • Got this deal last year.

It'll cover for your board/skis, boots, helmet, wrist-guards.

Service was good, the equipment was what you expect at that price: aged, worn n torn rentals.

You get what you pay for.

Let's just say I ended up buying my own gear at Jindy ESS after 1 day.

Still a good deal if you don't want to invest in gear.

  • Also got this last year, but from their sister store Snow City. Good service and good equipment. Would do this again (from snow city store). Can't comment specifically about the Monster store (the one out of town), but friends hired their gear there and had nothing negative to say.

  • If you are a day 1, never skied beginner… these skis are okayyyy… if you've ever skied in your life, disregard this. Cheap rentals are woefully awful!

Go the intermediate package from Rhythm in Cooma… albeit double the price… you'll get near brand new skis that you can progress with.
