This is rather a good deal.

  • Pretty solid deal!

You will need to buy at least 3 and get 3 free not to feel hungry though thanks to the tiny portion you get.

    • Which salad are you eating? I'm a big eater and find the made to order ones that come in the chinese takeout box are a decent size.

      • +2

Agreed - Also picking a salad with a good proportion of protein and healthy fats

        • Care to share the name of the salad you are talking about? Need to make myself feel better after all these fast food deals. Preferrably a salad that is not drenched in sauce?

    • This is true. They are quite expensive and their portions are tiny. Unfortunately eating out healthy is more expensive.

  • Any chance of getting the email link? It's on top of the email 'If you cannot view this email follow this link'

    • Just show the image, they won't know if it's an email or not.

  • Ozbargain is helping me eat healthy. 7/11 sangas on wed amd now sumo salad on thu.

Now I just need a friend, but I've been told that you don't make friends with salad.

  • So is another person mandatory? I ride solo to the shopping centre.

Maybe try pointing to someone on their phone and pretend they're your friend :)

Not really BOGOF - according to the website, you do need to have someone there that you're buying it for. BOGOF doesn't usually have this stipulation. Maybe the 20 somethings with sleeves that work there won't care, though…

  • Has anyone tried this - do they actually make you present with a second person?

    • +4

If they ask just say your friend's already seated. I suspect they won't make a fuss.

      • Good answer

Don't need a friend to be there with you. I went to Sumo Salad in QV and had no problem redeeming the promotion.

Tell them you don't want your friend to know about the promotion as his given you the full amount

  • awesome deal, thanks

these people are rather annoying to deal with. Went tonight with a friend, got there and asked if it's buy 1 get 1 free, they said yeah only if you tell us they are. then we asked for 4 for the price of 2, they said its 1 per person. so i said my friend will get another. they made us do 2 separate transaction. such trash. but the food isn't too bad.

    • +1

it clearly says one per person per day. of course they did 2 transactions..

  • +2

Of course they did two transactions. Can you not comprehend English properly?

"These people are rather annoying" because they stated the rules and you have to stick by them? People like you are the worst type of customers to deal with. They whinge about the smallest inconvenience when everything is clearly stipulated. By elevating yourself above "these people" who are just doing their jobs and doing what they're told, you somehow deem their actions as "such trash". You somehow think that you have some sense of entitlement because it's something that isn't that big of a deal to do.

I've been in customer service and hospitality most of my life and in my own businesses I see the most unreasonable remarks and expectations from people. Sometimes promotions are entered into the point of sale system that need to stick by the promotion guidelines. It doesn't let you complete the payment with two orders with one promotional code etc.

I would have just ignored your first comment just like I do at work, but just like you, when a customer seems somewhat incensed that their perfectly sound logic and reasoning is challenged and they start questioning my employees after a clear, simple and polite explanation is given, it annoys the hell out of me. I try not to even get involved usually and it's just a part of the industry. Just smile and the customer is always right.

Sorry about the long rant, something just snapped haha. I can't do it to my customers, but you're not my customer and I can suggest to you that you're a w**ker without receiving a letter of complaint!

Leave these poor "20 somethings with sleeves" alone, eat your salads and be happy while the deal lasts!
