Saw that, but they're $10 at Optus without the Mon-Thurs restriction.

So yeah, unless 1c matters to you, buy from Optus

    • and you get the tickets straight away

      • Might as well get $10 optus movies or Telstra $11 without the wait

Not everyone is with optus you know!

I tend to buy the Village tickets through Telstra because I live closer to a Village cinema, however I am sure there would be people who live closeby to Hoyts who are not with Optus that could benefit from this deal.

For me it would be a bit of a pain having to change my sim card over any time I want to purchase tickets x_x

        $1 isn't worth it?

And you don't need to change your sim, just have a current phone number

      • what do you mean swap sim?- I havent used the sim in years. I just log onto the optus rewards ticket site from any pc/net connection and use your login/pass.

        • Do you still have to charge the sim or do you just leave it to die?

Also, anyone know if this method will work with prepaid data only telstra?

        • @ProjectZero:
I dont know, I havent used it in so many years, it came with a optus pre-paid mobile dongle/usb which i used for a day before giving up(bad optus coverage).

        • Oh I didn't realise it could be done that way, my mistake.

      • i bought a $2 sim card from optus, activated, never recharged, and i use it solely for the hoyts movie tickets. it's valid for 6 months so i might put on $1 or something, or if i'm really, lazy, buy another sim card

    • And kids fly for $5

If saving 1c doesn't tickle your fancy, buy two tickets. That's just my two cents.

  • can they be only purchased Mon-Thu, or only valid for use Mon-Thu?

  • i read 'five nights at freddy 7'

Thanks OP, just bought two. I am on Amaysim which runs on Optus, but Optus website refuses to recognise me.

Amaysim which runs on Optus, but Optus website refuses to recognise me.

They're a different entity, of course Amaysim accounts wouldn't work on Optus website… you had a little too much to drink i think.

      • BUT Boost is equivalent to Telstra prepaid, and Boost Customers are also Telstra customers for promotions like this, I believe.

        • That's news to me, I used to have access to Telstra's offer via home broadband and I had to log in to my account everytime I wanted to buy the tickets. How you can log into Telstra with Boost account is just beyond me.

          -Edit-

Just logged into my old Telstra account on the thanks movie website… i got in o.o
