$447 for the GTX 970…the GTX 980 is almost 50% more.
$447 for the Gigabyte GTX-970 G1 is a good price. I bought just over a month ago for $519.
or for the price conscious, the 980 homebrand version for $575

What a Devilishly good deal.
Did you get one? Which card are you using now?
any good recommendation for a decent graphics card around the $100 range?
nope
you're better off getting something like a 750tithanks uraha, but that's like $224 tho…BTW I'm coming from an old Asus HD4850
Get a second hand one? A 7950 would probably go for $100 and it's a helluva lot better than your inferior 4850. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html
4695 vs 1033. Just make sure the card hasn't been mined with.@leonheart1: Thanks for the suggestion mate, but what are the tell-tale signs if the card was used for mining??
@homersyd:
Can't really tell but it's usually suss when they sell multiple cards or if they're selling mining components along with it. Also can't hurt to ask.This is one of the more popular cards used for mining due to their power efficiency and great value.
Thx OP for post. Would have missed it o/w. Ending up getting all the parts for a very nice gaming PC.
+1
I recommend that everyone who purchased this card ask pccg if you are eligible for witcher 3 game as they announced the bundle today with msi and gigabyte cards. https://www.facebook.com/pccasegear
