  • but what are the 'bargains' ??

My fear is spending a few hours in a car driving to Geelong and back, for some good, but not exactly great deals.

Unless things are all 75% of, the risk is high. And petrol and time is not cheap.

yeah, once you factor in fuel spent aswell…

        Don't forget time also.

I'm not willing to take that risk, especially being cotd.

    • Its damn worth the trip. new pair of nike free 5.0 for $50 cant beat that! $150 at rebel sports! saw a few Gstar and birkenstock shoes there too going for around $50. get in early though a lots of stuff gets picked out.

  • Rhubarb have been nothing over $15 in store for a few weeks now. Do the prices beat this by a significant margin?

  • title should be edited.

I think Victoria should be changed to Geelong, this weekend etc.

Agreed, I was hoping to buy a massive warehouse only to find it's cotd selling their junk

      • Haha I knew not to waste my time.

        Your spewing.

I fail to see the bargain here other than some shop saying they are open for 4 days. Won't neg the OP but the forums are calling.

Always a worry when a business' selling point is "4000+" items. Who cares how many items you have of something if the price is no good?

  • +2

This must be the stuff that has been offered and remained unsold time and time again.
The rejects of the reject. Thanks OP, would maybe stick my head in if in Geelong but have no expectations as COTD are expert bullshit artists.

I went to the same sale at the same place when it happened last time. This is what I found. This will help you a bit in taking the decision whether to go or not. Some android tablet was $25. Most shoes from $10 to $25. Wall paintings $5. Some DVDs $2. Laptop bags $5. Mens clothing $5-$25. Women's clothing $5-$35. Toys $2-$15. Some digital camera $15. Unfortunately I went the very last day hence not many items were left. I will go again this Friday as I am not working. And I live in Werribee so North Geelong is not very far.

    Thanks.
I work closeby, so thought to have a look. Reached at sharp 12 noon. Shocked as I have to struggle for parking for 10 minutes. After finding my luck and when I reached inside the warehouse (12:10), I was shocked again. The whole warehouse was full. First time I thought, I am late but then I got my luck to find the things.

All shoes - $30 each. Have plenty and have almost all sizes
    Clothing - $7.50 each or 3 for $20
Toys - heaps.. Cheap. Couldn't remember the exact price
    Easter Eggs

Note: there is lot of laddies stuff, I didn't have a look though

Worth to go as when I spoke to two different staffs, both told me that they will restock the stock for coming days.

    Good luck

  • Is it worth driving from Melbourne to Geelong and are there many runners or sneakers and gym gear
