Cadbury Old Gold $5.99 RRP $53.95

87

BEST BEFORE 5 October 2009.

Each pack includes 3 x 250g boxes of Cadbury Old Gold Continental Dark Chocolates.

Please note that this product has a Best Before date, not an expiry date. Goods that are past their Best Before date are still safe to consume; a Best Before date is merely an indication of when the goods should be consumed by if you want to eat it at its best quality. A ’Use By’ or ’Expiry’ date means the goods are not suitable for sale or consumption.

that chocolate lives up to it's name as being old (passed used by date)

Not sure why Doey21 got a negative vote when he/she is brave enough to try and share his/her thought?

    BEST BEFORE 5 October 2009??

    You gotta be kidding me!

All the chocolates in the box really taste the same.

They really are not worth buying

  • +2

Sure good value but don't think any good for your health it passed the best before date for about a month…

    • Best before has nothing to do with the safety of the goods.

      Use By does

      • It surely doesn't mean that the product will be safe to consume after an indefinite time frame though.

        • Well you need to use common sense (something which people seem to be loosing)
If the chocolates are green then you are ot going to eat them.

Go and look at your tinned food, it wont have an expiry date and as long as the can has not expanded it is perfectly safe to eat.

I have a bottle of water here which has a best before date, i am pretty sure it will be safe for an infinite time period.

You can find lots of stuff past their Best Before date in the dumpster behind woolies for free.

    • Nah they actually sell it off to people like Costco etc. And also the hersheys kisses that i got from them were actually quite good…but in regards to the old gold -Just plain bad. I think its been subjected to hot/cold/hot/cold temperatures that completely destroyed the chocolate's integrity

      • I think its been subjected to hot/cold/hot/cold temperatures that completely destroyed the chocolate’s integrity

If that has happened then you would probably see some "blooming" which causes the chocolate to turn a grey colour.
