From City of Melbourne Rep:
The City of Melbourne is undertaking a Community Engagement Workshop. We are seeking feedback regarding the trees in Parkville, which is an important issue for the local community.
The invitation to this event is for people to participate in the workshop. Those people who have volunteered their time to participate in a workshop are provided with breakfast and entry to the building where the workshop will be held.
I've edited the title to reflect that this is an important event for community members to give feedback on trees in Parkville. If this is you then attend. If not, then please let others attend
The City of Melbourne is running a breakfast to get community consultation on their Urban Forest Precint Plans in regards to areas of Parkville. They will be having free breakfasts in the future (Southbank & Docklands) as well however no free zoo entry.
The City of Melbourne does an awesome job with their urban forest plans and its quite interesting to see what they are up to. I've been to other City of Melbourne meetings and they put on an awesome spread.
So learn about urban forests and have your say, get free food and drinks, plus free admission to the zoo. You don't have to sit there for the 2 hours (it's not a timeshare presentation). Tickets to the Zoo are normally $30.80 so a decent savings.
The Bong Su Room is located on the Elephant Trail inside the Melbourne Zoo. Guests at the Greening Parkville breakfast workshop are not required to purchase a ticket to the Zoo; admission staff will direct you to the function room. You can enter at either entrance, but the main zoo entrance is closer to the Bong Su Room.
You are welcome to explore the zoo after the workshop.
Thanks hopefully we get to see the new baby gorilla !
