Binding of Isaac is a decent game, but if you are going to get Binding of Isaac, I think getting Binding of Isaac: Rebirth would be better. I personally think Rebirth made a huge improvements on the original (+ It doesn't lag around the end stages like it used to. I've heard that it's due to the original being made on flash). It's just my 2c. The Binding of Isaac is worth at least 0.99 USD IMO, so depending on where you stand, it might be better to try the original to try it out first.

    • The original has a better soundtrack than rebirth.

Also they are both really fun games in their own right. I have perfected both and put 200 hours into each games. Well worth the money.

      • True, but I personally found the remake better in terms of volume and content, and they do overlap in terms of experience a little. That's why I suggested getting the remake might be better. Though this is just my personal opinion, I don't deny that first game was a good game. The first game was the game that made me preorder the remake (preordering for first time in my life too).

  • Its a permadeath game, so make sure you've got the time and energy to devote to it. Having said that its cheap.
