Pretty good price. I am guessing it is being discounted due to the release of the new G910

Bought this from DS a few years back around Christmas for about the same price, and have loved it ever since.
Totally worth it! Although if a new one's coming out, it'll probably eventually get evn cheaper.
I'm with tuzzi above, I've never used the macro keys, and they just get in the way. But if you program them to be the key that they're next to (CTRL, etc..) it's not too bad..
I have a Corsair K95 RGB and i love the macro keys.. I have it for things like turning off screens, loading tv software, foxtel go, music player, email, task manager and a shutdown key..
Even then.. 18 macro keys isn't enough..
You can do all of that by rebinding keys on AutoHotKey. I made my own media controls and such by just binding the CTRL key to the arrow keys.
Yes, I know, but i don't like using control keys etc.. prefer to have 1 button that does everything..
Wow, I'd never thought to bind them to those kinds of things.
I might try something like that!

Coupon code "hit20" is not valid.
hmm, can't see these items on the exclusion list
pretty sure it would be classed as "Software and Accessories"……………………..
I just called them, it is excluded. It is classified under "Software and Accessories"
Great price.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/185682I have this keyboard and it has three major problems:
1. The macro keys - I'm always hitting them instead of Esc or Ctrl (maybe that problem is me not the keyboard)
2. The font used for special characters on the keycaps is disgusting (i.e. not very clear)
3. Adding to #2 - the backlight (even at highest brightness) doesn't illuminate the shifted characters sufficiently (the LEDs are located on the bottom half of each key - so the top half gets virtually no light).I also have this keyboard but i have a completely different view to yours:
1. The macro keys are a good distance away from the keyboard, maybe it takes some getting use to.
2. Guess font is a personal preference but in reality you don't look at it too often when typing.
3. Not really any comment, lighting doesn't bother me wish they had colour though.Personal opinion but i reckon this is one of the best mechanical keyboards you can buy
I agree with everything you said.
I'd also like to add a fourth.
4. All the 'shifted' symbols are printed at the bottom of the keys (e.g. / at top, ? at bottom) which is the opposite of every other keyboard ever, and are totally unlit by the backlight. It always totally confuses me, especially when I'm coding.Actually your #4 is what I meant in my #3 - I was AFK when I wrote it so I got the lighting the wrong way round: it is the top half that's illuminated and the bottom half that is virtually invisible in a dark room.
I don't mind having the extra macro keys even though I don't use them, might get use one day. What bothers me is the damn orange colour surrounding the macro keys. I know you don't actually look at your keyboard much but how I keep contemplating to paint over it. Otherwise I think G710 is one of the best mech kb's out there, especially for me with the sound dampeners removed for more of that crisp key press feeling.
pretty good deal apart from those horrible macro keys on the left.
