Kogan - LG G Watch $139 + $22.99 Shipping (RRP $259)

82

Kogan has the LG G Watch on sale at the moment for just under half price. Not as good as the last deal purchasing from Google Play store directly (which IIRC was about $120 shipped). I've had the watch for a couple months now, and its definitely worth the money. You will need an Android smartphone to use it.

"Lol, why would I want this cheap Android watch. When I can buy the Apple watch for $550 in a few weeks." - Shaun the iSheep.

Well, that's good for you Shaun the iSheep. This LG Watch can be customisable to have same watchface as your Apple Watch UI and has interchangeable bands. In fact, my LG G Watch has a black steel band (Pebble), cost me $20 as opposed to the $400 Apple wants for their steel bands.

tldr: buy this watch, read around and most importantly, don't be another sheep.

But some people want a smart watch and can't afford an Apple watch.

They'll want to get one of these so they don't feel left out.

          @XeKToReX:
wearing this watch on your hand would feel the same as 12 grit sandpaper.

Been wearing one for months and barely notice it, harden up princess.

  • Doesn't the black steel band have an extra bit in the middle that would make it not really fit very well on this watch?

I got one from the Google deal and its great. I find it very useful, saves me from getting my phone out of my pocket just to see annoying notifications. If i set the screen to auto off i get 2 full days before it needs a charge and a twist of my wrist lights up the screen.

    • I use a Pebble, which gets more battery life - but I think may have less cpu power/functionality (not too sure though).

      • Pebble doesn't really compare to Android Wear. However its recommended if you want the battery to last a week. I have a Pebble Steel band on mine looks awesome and makes this watch feel more premium.

    Currently $128 through MobileCiti (http://www.mobileciti.com.au/lg-g-watch-w100-black)…

…and was even cheaper last week https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/185035

Includes free pick up as well.

Don't see how this is a deal

    • Yep. And kogan wants $23 shipping!

    • I clearly didn't look around hard enough, although I wasn't actually researching. Just came across this on Kogan haha.

Close shop boys! Go to MobileCiti.

Ahahaa..Shaun the ISpheep..you got my like for that!

  • LG? I dunno… How does this compare to the Pebble?

    • It's an Android Wear device, Pebble is its own system (which is somewhat compatible with AW).
It's got an LCD screen, so the battery doesn't last nearly as long as Pebble's e-paper (1 day vs 7 days).
It's screen is colour though, only the next 'Pebble Time' will be colour).
It doesn't work with iOS, Pebble does.

      • Battery is closer to 3 days if you have the screen/bluetooth off over night. Standby can be longer.

    • Despite being LG its pretty awesome. Build quality is great, if you want to spend more though I would get LG Watch R or wait for Urbane, but then your looking at around $500+, but its not out yet either.

    • compared to iwatch?

Not a deal, as mentioned it's $128 at MobileCiti and was $108 not too long ago.

Mobileciti does it better with AU stock..

    • Ah didn't know this. Thanks!

  • Too cheap for me. I am getting a $20,000 Apple one. Just hope I don't drop it into water. Although I deserve it for being so stupid.
