  • How does this taste compared to regular Monster? Always found Monster too sweet, so this seems like a decent idea..

    • I don't find it sweet and I don't like sweet stuff. Apparently whether you can taste fake sugar as sweet depends on your generics as well. >:)

You will probably enjoy this one. I prefer them over regular Monster.

You all eat "Monsters" ..how could you?? :-)

  • The shit people like to fuel their body with these days amazes me…… Anyway each to their own.

That's because it is made by the devil and has mark of the beast (Google).

      • +1

        Huh?

How are Monster Energy and Google related?

        • +5

I think he is referring to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bntfUA6TmLs

          No wonder its cheap.

The marketing people must be proud of themselves, I bet she pointed out shit they didn't even know they did.

Bring on the negs, but I will stand by my point.

I think the negs are based on you sort of being condescending without giving out reasons. Your comment had no explanations for your "dislike" towards energy drinks. Chemical name in drinks look artificial but most of the times, the chemicals are fairly common ones, i.e. sodium chloride, so in a way, you didn't explain your dislike. You just listed chemicals used in those without talking about how harmful they are.

Your article link shows, from my 2 minutes glimpse, negative effects of caffeine and sugar, which is not limited only to energy drinks. People drink a lot of coffee nowadays and soft drinks often contain a lot of sugar.

That being said, I do agree with you, in some sense, I think energy drinks make it easy for people to consume excess amount of sugar and caffeine.

Don't like it, don't buy it. Basically everything you buy is loaded with weird sounding chemicals, you could live in a hut and live on rabbits your whole life, but you are still going to be eating taurine through meat (since it is just a name for a specific compound that normally comes from meat). What you linked doesn't really specifically counter any of those chemicals a part from noting not to overload on caffeine or sugar, which is a given anyway. I can counter that with a possible benefit (a part from caffeine improving focus and metabolic rate):

Lol. What a PoS article. A quick Google search shows that the caffeine comparison is wrong. From what I can see most coffee you buy has more caffeine than the majority of energy drinks. Also saying that they have "more than 80 grams per serving". I have a can right here that says 51g for the 500ml

        • +1

Yep, love the hypocrites who'll tell you energy drinks are killing you, then order a double espresso with 4 sugars and a caramel shot….

Someone needs to bring out a 'Paleo' Monster at 3 times the cost, the paleotards will eat it up.

      Don't forget DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE!

Sugar free drink from NQR ? Probably contains sugar.

  • +1

I think this is the 2nd best sugar free energy drink on the market after rockstar (nice fruit flavour), pretty amazing deal (both mother and V taste horrid)

    • +1

I like the Mother sugar free!! :P

  • Incredible

  • Best before date?

      03/2015

      • Thanks Lord_Sif.

  • This is my fav sugar free energy drink, although might have to try rockstar based on nephilim's comment. Too bad I'm 3000kms from the store.

  • +1

That is an incredible deal. If I could find a cheap way to get them to QLD I'd buy 10 cases for myself!

Is this better than the Coles brand spring water? I find it's a dollar cheaper but also smaller in size (500ml vs 600ml).

  • Kicking sugar because of Gout, ive tried every sugar free nrg option there is. This is by far my fav. Wish it was cheap in Adelaide, I'd stock up.

  • +1

These have been at my local NQR since late last year, if you're after them, don't worry about missing it.

    • Are you sure other store have the sugar free version and not that crappy 'rehab' version…?
Not too keen to drive all the way to fountain gate.. Had a look at Werribee and they had nothing..

      • Yeah man, they had like 5 different flavours when I was there last like a fortnight ago. Clearly not selling too well aye.

  • You know something, I'm not a fan of sugar free energy drinks. The red blue and v versions makes me feel ill, however this isn't too bad. Not bad for $6 per box.

  • I purchased the last three slabs on Thursday. Please mark accordingly.

  • +1

There was a full pallet @ Kilsyth. No price on it though, so can't guarantee..

    • Last time I was there, they too were 6, subject to change though.
