Good price but That's not today :) And they also have bad store reviews

      • cant believe how bad the reviews sound!… yes the price matching is just rubbish. but some times, they can sell in very good prices. remember the Pentax Q deal on ozb? that was literally the cheapest in the world (at that time). https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/84561

        • Yeah we find some good ones on here :) A lot of stuff we even get cheaper than US Sometimes

  • anyho, need opinion on the zoom 40-150mm, good to keep them or not?

Love to help you m8 but I don't know too much about cameras sorry. There are bulk reviews that talk about this camera though on google, you might find some answers there :)

      • not directed to you m8 :) i was asking people who own that lens :)

@ Erwinsie, its a good lens for the price point and weight ($200 for under 200g).

I used to have an EM5 - I had the 40-150 and two other primes in my travel kit. The 40-150 (equivalent 80-300mm) has a good range and weight. I generally don't use that range much, but there are times it was really nice-to-have.

Your only tradeoff is image quality. But I'm not OCD about pixels, once printed on a 6x4 I don't notice.

Once your done with it, it is also a good lens to gift to a niece/nephew or close friend starting out in photography (assuming they are on a m43 system).

Another thing is when it is fully zoomed in at 150mm, it looks a bit ridiculous and basically doubles in size.

Depending on where your interest in photography lies, you might be better off skipping the kit lenses (i.e. selling them off mint) and get yourself a better prime or zoom (the Olympus 12-40 f/2.8 is pretty good for example).

You'll get better IQ, larger aperture (better for portraits and can help at night) and better build quality.

Kit lenses generally give you better reach, price and weight.

TLDR: If you are a newbie and never want to buy another lens the kit lens set is great value.

    • thanks. i like the 14-42mm but not sure about the 40-150mm. maybe one thing i can use is for going to Zoo.
yeah the 12-40 pro is good but big heavy and bit too expensive.
      probably will sell the 40-150mm.

      • That's a good idea. 80-200mm is a popular focal length for portraits, as it will generally allow you to generate more background blur at the same f-stop compared to shorter focal lengths, so it's not just strictly a zoo lens.
