    Hi Rep,

How about the simplehuman Garbage Bin - Rectangular Wide Step Recycler Bin 46L (30L/16L) | CW2007?

    http://www.yourhomedepot.com.au/simple-human-cw2007-garbage-…

I'd like to buy this if there is a good discount.

    Thanks

  • Do regular shopping bags fit any of these bins? Thinking of the environment and all.

    • +1

      Not even close!

      • how about the 30L bin?

        • +1

Supermarket bags are at most 15 - 20L

  • Hi Rep,

Does the $100 discount works on the Simplehuman Garbage Bin - Butterfly Step Bin 20L | CW1837?

30L is too big for my apartment

    Thanks You

  • So I went and bought yet another SH bin. I'm sick, I know.

And if u ever get this

    http://www.amazon.com/simplehuman-Rectangular-Steel-Trash-St…

    or this

    http://www.amazon.com/simplehuman-Steel-Trash-Recycler-Stain…

Can I have one pls :)

Still waiting for the EKO bins to come in stock.

Fed up of replacing the crappy homebrand bins every few years. Had a simplehuman given to us years back and it still opens like new.

I wouldn't say its a ferrari of the bin world - would say its more akin to a Lexus vs. Great Wall (your Kmart bins).

Edit: Would like any of the 20L bins on sale! 30L doesn't fit under the table counter….

  • How much for the superhuman version? :b

  • Hi OP, any chance of a discount on the simplehuman 30L rectangular step bin (cw1884)?

Unfortunately the 38L is a bit too big for me :(

Just ordered a CW1824 bundle, 30L Butterfly Step with 50 H Bin Liners for $119 including shipping. Never been so excited about getting a bin in my life!

    • I've had this bin for at least 4 or 5 years, it's great - you'll love it.

  • +1

Wow, so much interest in a bin.

    Gave it a plus anyway.

Once my 5 year old $39 Kmart bin kicks the bucket I'll definitely look at this. I won't buy it but I'll definitely look at this if I remember to.

    • I'll do the same once my 15yr old icecream tub bin that came with free ice cream gets a hole in it.

  • I hope my wife likes her new birthday present

Nothing shows how much you care, like a new garbage bin!

  • Does the Standard Delivery (Free) $0.00 including tracking number?

I'm lived in apartment and don't want my parcel to be left on ground and anyone can pickup. And I don't want to pay extra $8.95 for express including tracking number to making sure that I will get the parcel.

the best bin deal I've ever seen was this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005KCVVWY/ref=oh_aui_detai…

for $32 USD delivered.. I nabbed two

  • Hey rep, what are the dimensions of this bin?
I looked at the link and couldn't find them.

    Thanks

    • OK found the dimensions and it's too wide. :(

This round one looks good though:

      http://www.yourhomedepot.com.au/simple-human-cw1810-garbage-…

But the dimensions are confusing, it's a round bin right? So why are the dimensions 39x32x65cm (LWH)? Maybe I has the dumb today but if something is ROUND then how do we get 39X32?

Also does anyone know if this one is of the same quality as the one in the OP?

      Cheers

      • Probably the hinge bit that pokes out maybe?

  • "Trendy Bin"? What's happening to us?

I can imagine we can go as far as buying a $5,000 bin with gold plated pedals and silk rubbish bags?

    • +2

Sounds great, I need a nice bin to throw my left over truffles and caviar.

  • wow what a long thread about rubbish

    • Im glad you didn't point out your pun as that would be a plain rubbish to do

  • Didn't think I'd come into OzBargain to buy a trash can…… >$120

So, thoughts on whether to get the 30L+16L (recyle) or just plain old 38L? i.e

    ($129) http://www.yourhomedepot.com.au/simplehuman-38l-wide-step-re…
    or
    ($179) http://www.yourhomedepot.com.au/simple-human-cw2007-garbage-…

Which one will keep the wife happy until end of warranty period (the bin, not the wife)?

    • The SH bins with recycling is good in concept but less so in practice. Fills up too quickly so definitely prefer the bins sans recycling section.

  • Just sold out!

    • +2

Whooaaa, what the… Thought I'd order it now after my site visit…. 48 hour deal? :(

  • +2

Already out of stock??? What a bargain for wealthy OZBARGAINERS!

  • Just noticed that it was out of stock too. I was keeping an eye out on the stock level yesterday whilst making my decision. This means that at least 40+ 38Lsimplehuman bins have been purchased in last 24hrs!

  • +1

This was tempting but the gods of the stock levels have intervened and make the decision for me it seems.

  • Myer has 30% off Simplehuman if you buy 3 or more items, so the liners work out cheaper than your home depot sells them for. This below bin works out at $90.30 a bin if you buy 3! I understand not many people will want 3 though, however it may be of use to someone who does.

    http://www.yourhomedepot.com.au/simple-human-cw1810-garbage-…

    http://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/1158053

    • Actually you can buy two lots of liners and 1 bin and you get 30% off the whole lot.

  • My god. That much on a bin?

  • There is a sucker born every minute. ;)

  • I wish you have the 30L semi-round model, that would be perfect for smaller apartment kitchen
    http://www.simplehuman.com/uk/30-litre-semi-round-step-can-f…

  • Bin arrived yesterday, thanks :)

Fellow Ozbargainers, shame on us for not asking for a Liner code!

    • +1

I thought the bin liner code was mentioned in the OP's post? Added bonus: great that 10 free simplehuman bin liners were hiding in the bin!
