  • What's this like compared to your standard CREE LED Q5 $4.28 Delivered?

i have one of those and on a single AA eneloop it aint that bright

there's a limit to how much energy a single AA can put out, its great for indoor work (ie. look under the sink)

the 18650 powered one would be a LOT brighter since it has twice the voltage and amp hours

3 x AAA I wouldnt waste my time but I think $5 is cheap for a 18650 torch

      • I would be using aaa eneloops seeing as I have an 8 pack.

the above torch doesnt help you, it only uses 18650 or 3 x AAA

          get the ebay one

  • btw. looks like their cart/coupon is busted in a way that helps us a lot!

    Subtotal: AUD $11.26
Coupon(CREE XPE LED Flashlight - special deal): AUD -$8.14
    Cart Total: AUD $3.12

prob. buy 2 at only $6.24 shipped

    • Shipping only gets added after you've gone through the checkout… (using paypal checkout option)

Still a pretty good deal though if you have any spare 18650's laying around :)

      • yes $3,29 shipping

        but still aud$5 each! incredible

    Bought 2 for USD$9.33. Couldn't help myself.
It's a bit cheaper if you buy 2, don't know why the rep didn't mention that?

  • Any idea if these have a constant-current regulator (needs cap+inductor) or just a PWM chip?

Good price and tempting but I've come to hate 5 mode torches.

    • Received my 2 torches today.
It turns back on in the mode it was turned off which is good, then you just touch the button softly to cycle through the modes.
Nice torch for $6.00 each, no adjustable focus but happy with the deal.

  • Good price

  • Bought 1, received yesterday. But not working, wrote an email to them lets see their customer service.

    • Was lucky to get mine. The address was printed so tiny it was delivered to the wrong place.

Looks well built - the puck has a decent contact with the body.
Draws 1.2A from a fresh 18650, which is overloading the poor little xp-e.
