  • is $50 minimum order?

    • -1

      $50 min spend before discount

      • +2

you mean $50 min after discount? thats what mine said

  • When do the items expire just out of curiosity

    • you mean expiry of deal or products

      • products. Sorry

        • if i recall correctly from last order, ~ 1 year or more

        • @easternculture: COOL! This is more than enough food for one for like months LOL!

    • From my last batch the food varied with dates.

Pizza expired in May-2015, pasta 1 year

  • dissapointing about the $50 minimum, that wasn't there for the last deal

  • Great deal, ordered with some Lamb to bring it to $50.50

  • +3

You can order the same specials twice.

My freezer is still full from the last $20 special.
Pizzas are great, but they have no meat.

    • Good for a diet!

    • Yeah I ordered, 2 X Greek and 1 X Pizza, because I really like their fish dishes and not so much the Pasta.

      • +2

        I ordered 2x pizza and 2xpasta.

        Total $50.

        Will see how this goes!

No need to cook for a while. Well at least it's better than paying $10 or so for frozen foods from coles freezer section

        • Hang on, you are saying $50 for 2x pizza and 2x pasta is cheap?

        • @clarky: 2xpizza = $20 2x pasta = $10, 2x greek = $20

          Total = $50

        • @Turd: ooohhhhhh

    • It says once per household, I wonder if they will honor it?

      • Hope so. My delivery date is this Wednesday.

        • Cool, can you post back here and let us know if there's any issues with ordering multiples?

        • @silvertone: Seems to work. Got a sms saying my order will be delivered today. Will post pics tonite of the fruits of this.

        • @Turd: nice work!

        • +1

          @silvertone: Here are my orders…

          Not too bad, impressed.

  • +3

Great deal - too bad I don't have the freezer space :(

    • I had the same issues with the last deal. I actually find you can chuck the ones you want to eat over the next 2 days in the fridge and moderate the oven time or microwave time… still tasted the same to me.

    • Worth picking up a cheap used freezer from gumtree if you have somewhere to keep it

  • +1

    Come to Brisbane!

  • Giving it a try. I think the pastas will be a crapshoot though, they're only 250g per serve (the 'celine cuisines' are 300-410g and they're not huge).

For $50, it'll fill my freezer with reasonable lazy-food at least for the nights I don't get home till 10pm (most of 'em!).

    • +1

      For $5 it's great price.

      • 100% Agreed. I'll take a gamble at those prices, and if they're actually good, i'll possibly order again :)

        • Me too!

Missed out on the $20 deal.

    • Yes they portions are rather small for all there meals however, the food is pretty tasty though, this is such a good price you can just eat to.

      • +1

I had one of the pizzas last night (mushroom and mozerella). Was OK, but found there was a lot of 'crust' without any topping. For the price I ended up paying, yeah was a bargain.

One other thing I was surprised at is the 'best before' date on all my stuff is April this year. I know freezers are not a magical time stopping device, but 2 Months seems relatively short for freezer life. I also now have 30 or so meals, so I pretty much have to eat one every day. Still, it'll save me a fortune from my top-up shops at Coles :)

        • Noticed the short use by date on my delivery too

        • +1

@amelyn: Me too, maybe the work experience kid made too big of a batch.

        • @Turd: Me three. Not such a bargain if they're short-dated, they'd have to get rid of them anyway. Reason for the deal if you ask me.

  • We've found the pastas to be pretty good. Just separate them before cooking and go for the least recommended time for cooking . The pizzas are also great. If you go by the recommended serving size you will definitely lose weight.

    • The 'Serves 2' is a bit of a joke, and the 'serves 4' on the larger one is definitely not right. There's no way two small pieces is enough for a meal.

They're not designed to be a high-class 'lite n easy' though. I've actually found the meals that lite n easy do are, on the whole, amazingly good. Even if you're not trying to lose weight, i'd suggest checking their 'meal only' type selections out. They're a little expensive, but streets ahead of the celine cuisines, if you just want good home style food.

Thanks for posting. We are still eating our way through the $20 special and not a dud yet.

Madreece - if your pasta comes out a little soggy, add a little salt to the boiling water first.

  • Love the food when trying the $20 special a few weeks ago and reordered the pasta special. If you follow the directions to a tee they are very tasty. We make a meal out of them as once cooked it expands a bit, we add some sauce it feeds two of us a decent portion.

  • will have to start storing some of those dish'd meals at work!!

  • +1

good deals. always impressed with the meals from dish'd

  • So if they deliver only during working hours, how am I supposed to collect this food? At the post office? Don't think they keep a fridge there lol.

    • +2

They're packed with dry ice and reportedly stay frozen until 10pm the night of delivery if left in the shade according to the website.

      • +4

And the fun you can have with all that dry ice :)

        • +1

That's the best part!! Kept us all entertained for ages.

  • +1

Damn, wish I had the dough on the CC and the room in the freezer. I grabbed their previous $20 deal and the food was delicious for frozen, especially the pizzas.

  • Kick his ass Sea Bass

  • Is everything frozen? Even the pasta? I'd like to order but only have a small freezer..

    • +2

Yes all frozen, play tetris with your fridge!

      • ^^ this! with the freezer though

  • Thanks op. Signed up for $60 worth of specials ( orig price $194).
Glad I have a little chest freezer out the back

  • How much space does one need to store $50 worth?

    • You will need a fridge

  • does anyone have any discount coupons?

  • +1

Just posting to say thanks for the find - got 8 pizzas, 4 pastas and another 8 greek meals being delivered tomorrow afternoon.

No idea whether my freezer will cope with the influx of food, but for $50 delivered I don't especially care!

  • The free delivery is for orders over $50. You only have to order that much if you want free delivery.

This is also stated to be an offer for existing customers: has anyone managed to use it who has just signed up?

If you happen to be in Melbourne, they have a store at Prahran for Click & Collect, which is open until 8pm. It's also close to the Prahran train station, so if the delivery box isn't too big you can carry it home on PT (I have done this).

It's interesting to see where the products are made - most of what I've ordered so far has been Thailand or France.

    • -2

Not an Australian product?, That's a deal breaker for me after the berries fiasco.

    • I signed up yesterday and ordered 2 X greek meals, 1 X pasta and 1 X pizza - click and collect from prahran.

  • +1

Ordered. Will need to start working my way through Mum's currys in the fridge to make room :)

  • Anyone know when the deal expires?

    • +1

while stocks last. So order now, and think later

  • Ordered 2 x pizzas, 2 x pastas and a couple of steaks yesterday and arrived this afternoon (I was at home for delivery but was well packed and sealed in styrofoam box with dry ice so wouldn't have too many dramas sitting outside for a bit longer. Expiry dates ranging from April to May 2015 but all look pretty good thus far.

  • Ordered 2x pizzas, 2x pastas and the set of greek meals for an even $50 delivered. We tried one of the pizzas tonight (added in extra onion, egg, bacon) and it was pretty good! Barely had room in my small freezer section to store the rest.

Now I have meals for a long time!

    My freezer is full http://imgur.com/qRL48YE

  • Thanks EC. Good price for some good meals. I have gone through 21 Greek meals and some of the Pasta! Overall impressed with the quality -will order again once I cook up some Tuna Steaks/Barra I have in the freezer from the last Woolies deal!
