Long story short, my Australia Post (which Target use) postie is beyond useless despite several complaints and on a day off, I'd rather just go on pick it up myself.
I called head office and they told me they can't do pick up for eBay sales, but said I could try a price match in store and my store was more than happy to do it!

Basically you can get it delivered to your local post office and pick it up from there - doesn't get to postie.

If you need it to collect it after hours, they also have parcel lockers at various locations - which is a similar address, but you go and punch in a PIN to unlock and receive your delivery.
Same here for Aus Post, add to that they're open 10:00 to 10:01 every third wednesday and their cards lie about when it will be available, giving a date, I go in on that date and they say maybe in the afternoon it will be there.. well thanks, now Im late for work and I dont get whatever my delivery is.

Dunno about target but at dick smith I was able to go in store and tell them about the 20% ebay off (this was last year some time) and they refunded me the difference. i was able to take off the crappy extended warranty too (I had to bargain the salesman to drop the price and he offered me warranty to get it down). They probably want to do this because a lot of people will buy another and return as you say. This way they just need to process it once :D

It's decent price, but be weary that even 16GB storage ones have problems with storage space, i.e. Windows Update require space as well, OS takes up space, recovery drive takes up space (it may not have one which would cause trouble if you need to format it).
Do you have one? Do you know if you can access the BIOS or boot off a USB flash drive?
I don't have one, but I was inferencing from reviews of 1GB RAM, 16GB Storage tablets. Even with 16GB, after installing Office, you pretty much have to cut down everything for you to have updates and such, I think, from my interpretations of the reviews.
That being said, I think it is possible? Contact Target?

The price has changed since I posted the deal. The Assassin's Creed bundle was $367, then it sold out, and is now back at the new price. The price may change again between now and when the deal expires so I guess just keep an eye out if you're keen.
