Question on how Cashrewards works. I clicked on "Go to store", but I couldn't find Target's PS4 through ebay's search so I just clicked on the link here to go and buy it. Does that mean I won't get the 2% discount or does it still work because it uses a tracking cookie?

Did you try clicking on 'details' under that transaction? You'll find that it's 80% funded by your own funds, and the remaining 20% is funded by the eBay voucher.

Seems I'm up sh1t creek, my paypal is linked to my UK bank account but I always use my aussie credit card with paypal, however I clicked process without selecting my card and now it has lifted 264pounds out of my UK account with no discount applied.
Crap. Now that you mention it, I forgot to change from Paypal's annoying default of Bank Transfer to my credit card option. My bank account hasn't had enough funds in it for the past hour. I just transferred some across; hopefully I wasn't too late. I don't want to get hit with a bounce back fee.
Check the transaction on PayPal. For me it also says "-$498" but in the actual transaction it says $398 was taken from my bank account and $100 was taken from "Voucher".

No worries mate, I really understand that comment. I just bought it now as my bday is early April and I want it to play FIFA with friends. However, buying this without this deal is not feasible at this moment… but with the deal it is okay if I cover it with any freelance job.

They are going to refund me in 2 or 3 business day. The customer support was very happy to help me… I really got impressed (I had screenshots of the payment process as I was sending it to my friend, I think it helped)
if you check the paypal statement… there is a funding source. there is a payment from target for the 20% and your balance which you paid.
