Can't comment on 1-day as I haven't purchased from them before. Seem like good prices thought I would share.

About Us

1-day started as a very simple concept in 2007. Founded by Luke Howard-Willis, the idea started on a flight back from Taiwan and was scribbled on the back of an Air New Zealand serviette. Getting swamped with offers for his original company, www.torpedo7.com, these products and great offers did not quite fit into the action sports category torpedo7 caters for.

Not wanting to pass them up, www.1-day.co.nz was born, offering 3 products at midday every day and last only 24 hours. Why pay up to 5 times more for the same product elsewhere? What product is sold I hear you ask? That's a good question and we don't really follow any rules except concentrate on exceptional quality and branded goods at unbelievable prices. Don't try and buddy up to us either to try and find out what is going to be on the site in the coming weeks or months - visit the site at 12pm every day or even better sign up to our newsletter here which means you get to know what is coming up a few hours before.

1-day has now become one of the largest shopping websites and you simply have to be quick or the deal sells out. People often ask how we manage to do it and to us, it isn't rocket science;

Direct Importing and Selling: We import quality goods direct from the manufacturer and/or supplier and sell it directly to our customers. The middle man is wiped out.
Bulk Buying: We buy in massive volume to keep costs down. These savings are passed onto our customer.
Overheads: No flash shops, big rents or car park meter charges for us or you - just one massive warehouse in good old central North Island, Hamilton and a few sheep running around in the opposite paddock.
No hidden big freight charges added to your order and we aim to get that order to you as quickly as possible.
Service. A little worried that your service won't be as good because you are dealing with a computer?   • The standard Casio watches have longer battery life, robust enough for hard knocks of life, and a 1/4 the price.

    Like my Casio watches, my daily-wear, cannot be beat quality/$ ratio

    1-day have the worst customer service of any company I have ever called. You aren't even covered by fair trading as they are based in NZ. Good luck getting any kind of warranty help if something goes goes wrong. NZ law states you need to turn up to a hearing to make any claim to their fair trading

    • My experience has been quite the opposite. In fact once we had an incident and they simply sent the product again and said just keep the one you already have, not worth mucking around with return postage.

      • Yeah but what sort of item was it? Mine was a laptop. Don't mind getting stuff around as much if it's a small item, but mine was worth about $500, they gave me their assurance they would repair or replace it, then after promising that turned around and refunded the money and basically told me to get lost. Since it was a hard drive fault I could have easily replaced it for $50-$100 bucks myself, and I had explained this to them up front, but after getting the assurance from them in writing (email) they just turned around and shafted me. Pain in the a*se and no communication, just duds on the end of the phone repeating themselves. One refused to admit that I got that assurance even after I forwarded her the email providing it. If that's not bloody stubbornness I don't know what is.

  • It's been years since I bought stuff from them but from memory I had no issues with my purchases! But I never had to deal with their customer service so yeah. That's my experience.

  • tempted.. but I still have my Globe G-Shock sitting brand new in the box..

  • No one is probably reading this now, but has anyone received their watches? 1-Day have stated my order should have arrived by now but the Aus Post tracking merely shows that shipping information has been received and approved. I will continue to follow up with the two.
