Great, makes for very cheap Thai in Neutral Bay (Three courses for two people for $19!) - http://www.groupon.com.au/deals/sydney/let-s-eat-thai/719746…

  • Can you use it more than once per account? Was thinking of getting a few Wet'n'Wild tickets but not sure if they only discount one only or all of them.

    • I tried and computer said no…. :(

      • how do you do that?

        • -1

Just make more than one account is what he is saying and purchase on each account

it's easier to use this method.

        [email protected]
        [email protected]
        [email protected]
        [email protected]

All the email will go to this account [email protected]

        • Why would it automatically go to the [email protected] , or did you set automatic forwarding for each account

          @strikerzebra:
You've been around here since 2009 & didn't see comments about this trick before? Even I posted it a few weeks back as a tip to get free deliveries & discounts from Woolies.

Gmail takes each of those variants as the same email address. So no need to do anything - it gets delivered as normal. Try sending an email to yourself first, to understand how easy it is.
However when you register an account at a website, each one of those variants is taken as a different email address.
Similarly Yahoo has temporary email addresses.

Same trick with home address (but not for apartments, but could add a letter after apartment number), put 1/ etc in front of the street address. Still get your parcel or mail, but registration will be taken as new address. However if site uses an address checker, you may need to overrule it.

        • @brucefromaustralia:
          Interesting.
Can you then disable any of temporary emails?
Say I'm using [email protected] for too many garbage newsletter.
Can I think completed disable that email?

          @brucefromaustralia:

Never seen it actually but thanks for the advice, I was surprised i missed it

        • @dealonaustralia:
Not that I'm aware of. I don't use them for sites where I expect spam. Yahoo disposable addresses are better for that as go to a separate section. I think you can set email preferences for Groupon, so receive no additional emails. Otherwise filter the emails.

        • @brucefromaustralia: Thanks. I was just curious as it doesnt spam problem. I guess it only solves ozbargain problem of having multiple email accounts to score bargain :)

        • @dealonaustralia: You can create a filter based on 'sent to' and move them straight to the bin.

      Best Way,

      1. Create new email address.
      2. Using your old groupon send invitaion on the new email address.
      3. Sign up using the invitation link & then make purchase with new account (http://www.groupon.com.au/recommendation)
      4. Now your old account will get $10 referral credit.

I have many Groupon account. Every purchase I have made using above mention technique.

It does not say anywhere that you can not use VALENTIES code on new account. So every purchase you make going to earn $10 on you parent account.

      Cheers

      • Awesome thanks for the advice

      I always do :( Damn!

    • I didn't even know they have Groupon in it!

  • the code doesn't work for me :-(

  • Which is better for Indian food out of these two restaurants (for 4 adults)?

Four-Course Indian with Wine for Two ($29), Four ($49) or Six People ($69) at Taza Tandoori (Up to $358 Value)

I'd check out Urbanspoon for reviews.

      • My UrbanSpoon review for my last Groupon restaurant deal was titled "Avoid!". Fortunately, Groupon refunded my voucher payment within a few hours.

UrbanSpoon is usually a good review site.

Groupons can be used by new restaurants to help establish their business, or by failing ones to stay alive!

Checking out a Gold Coast cheapie (dips, half lobster, main for $19pp after this discount) I looked up UrbanSpoon review 46%!!! Read some of the reviews, especially by those redeeming Groupons - there is no way you'd want to go there :-(

$25 for a 2 ppl Peking Duck dinner is alright.

I dunno, sounds a bit light on for food if you ask me. I have used a lot of Groupon type vouchers and have found Chinese restaurants to be the stingiest when it comes to portion sizes. But this place seems to get decent reviews on Urban Spoon, so might be ok.

      • Yeah I know what you mean. Well a normal HK eatery lunch special is like $10 per head so I paid a few bucks more to try this out. See how it goes.

    • You won't be getting a whole duck.
Just couple of pieces of Duck Pancake.

    • I have been there and the food was great and we didn't leave there hungry. Would highly recommend!!

  • Works for $50 Groupon Gift Cards

    http://www.groupon.com.au/deals/national-deal/gg-groupon-goo…

    Note: 'Gift card expires: 30/04/2015'

    • When I recently bought from Groupon a $50 gift card with $10 off deal, it took 3 weeks to arrive in the mail and then the code did not work. It took 6 weeks of phone calls and emails, and finally they gave me a $40 credit (not a refund) I will never buy a gift card from them again.

      • I bought one previously that worked fine. Sorry to hear you had bad experience.

      • I once bought a $50 gift card that was meant to come with a free $10 credit code (in a separate card). Well I got the card but not the credit code. Followed up with them and they refused my request to at least cancel the code that they issued and to reissue a new code to me. So it ended up costing me $50 for a $50 gift card. No bargain at all.

  • Great to see Groupon coming to the party, I was holding out on a couple of their deals after both Scoopon and Livingsocial had specials earlier this week. Well played :-)

  • Nice find! Now now I can purchase those wet and wild tickets that I hesitated to purchase earlier.

Does cash rewards also work on iPhone and iPads? Cause the last time I used loving social, I had cash rewards open and dirrected me to living social then completed my purchase, weeks after I still was not given me any cash back?

  • First Aid course in Sydney for $39 incl $10 off is pretty good deal, considering normal price $80+. Good for all the people who need to renew every 2-3 years
