  • good deal but 2 days seems too short.
would be at least 4-5 days in Queensland to make the trip worth while.

what's the price for 5 nights?

what's the price for 5 nights?

I'm not sure you actually read the post…

You have to attend one of those pressure selling seminars where they try and convince you to buy time shares

    • $147, or your soul, whichever is more expensive.

      • wouldn't that be for 6 ?

        • +1

He forfeits the 6th. They can't make him stay, it's not the Hotel California.

        • +1

@strangeloops66: >it's not the Hotel California

          Which such a lovely place.

    Time share "no-thank-you"
    Salesmen = human lizards.

  • +3

Yep …been there ..got held hostage until I signed up …thank god for cooling off period…imo SCAM

    • No need for me to cool off, I'm pretty cold on the idea right at the start!

    • +3

You signed up…. even temporarily, omg??.. "thank god for cooling off period"

Surely you can "do the crime do the time" taking the offer up for 2 or 3 hrs and then tell them to get stuffed NO WAY and enjoy the next 48hr accommodation freebie..?

You signed up…. even temporarily, omg??..

If you don't, they take your first-born…

        • +1

I could nearly do it, I enjoy that sort of stuff :)

Would be like taking on a tele caller for an hour, leading them on and on and on, and then dropping them like a hot potato right at the end (NOT all, just the real annoying pushy ones)

        • +3

          They were using water torture

        • @Coops1: I did that to a telemarketer once that was trying to get into my computer .. learnt a lot of Indian curse words.

Hands up who bought the $2000 saucepans or the $3000 vacuum cleaner

This is a fine deal. I've sat through such presentations quite a few times, both for the offer of a carrot as well as doing a "mystery shop". It's really no big issue if you go in with your eyes open and the carrot offered here is very attractive indeed.

    • Ha ha…

You got me… I actually believed you there for a minute…

    • +1

How much are they paying you ?

      • +2

        They're holding him hostage.

I must admit I have been to at least 5 now over the last 10+ years (not from this group though I think). The "compensation" used to be 2-3 nights free somewhere (which I used twice) and other times it was gift cards, most recently being $75 coles group cards for 90 minutes of them trying to sell to me - to which I said no and walked out (like I always do).

What surprises me most of all is that they ring me back the next year and want to do it again. At $50 an hour I'm up for a laugh (seeing them trying to use their logic to sell a very over priced "deal"). Just waiting for some good coles or liquor land deals for the gift cards now :)

On my last encounter only 2 weeks ago my biggest disappointment was lack of biscuits to help pass the time.

NOTE: Just looked at all the extra terms on this offer - they certainly are targeting their clients with their exclusion criteria.

Guests combined annual income must be superior to AU$70,000 equivalent.

    How do they check ?

  • i guess they dont allow you to bring kids?
